Kay Adams Addresses Arch Manning Rumor

According to insider Adam Schefter, the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants could look to pass on drafting a quarterback this year.

Up & Adams host Kay Adams recently reacted to this news by posing a question:

For the Cleveland Browns, there have been rumors swirling around that the Browns may want to trade for Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins. The four-time Pro Bowl signal-caller might be looking for a new home, seeing as he is now a backup to Michael Penix Jr. Cleveland wouldn’t need to draft a quarterback if they could get a player like Cousins, who could still have some good years left.

On the Giants’ side, they already addressed the quarterback situation this offseason by signing Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston to deals. However, they likely aren’t long-term options. If the Giants wanted to wait one more season, they could very well do that and wait to possibly select Manning later on.

What Arch Manning Brings to the Table

Despite playing sparingly in his first season in Austin for head coach Steve Sarkisian, Manning showed off why he can be the future of an NFL team down the line.

He completed nearly 68% of his passes for 939 yards and nine touchdowns. The New Orleans native was also a threat on the ground as he averaged 4.3 yards per rush and ran in four scores.

The 6’4″, 225-pound signal-caller will be taking over this season for Quinn Ewers, who is going to the NFL. He will get his first chance to prove why he is the real deal.
