Can the Jaguars Climb the AFC South Standings?

Jacksonville has signed 10 free agents this offseason, including safety Eric Murray and nickelback Jourdan Lewis, as they look to improve their roster.

With numerous mock drafts circulating and more expected before the draft begins April 24, the Jaguars would need Graham to still be available when they pick.

The Tennessee Titans hold the No. 1 pick, followed by the Cleveland Browns at No. 2 and the New York Giants at No. 3. The New England Patriots select fourth, with players such as Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, and Abdul Carter projected to be taken before the Jaguars pick at No. 5.

If Graham is available at No. 5, Jacksonville will likely consider taking him. With Walker and Josh Hines-Allen focusing on edge rushing, ESPN’s Michael DiRocco noted, “Arik Armstead is moving back inside in 2025, [but] the 31-year-old is not the long-term answer there.”

Jaguars Can’t Repeat Aidan Hutchinson Draft Miss

Graham’s former Michigan teammate, Aidan Hutchinson, was drafted by the Detroit Lions and was in the mix for Defensive Player of the Year before suffering a leg injury last season.

In three seasons with Detroit, Hutchinson recorded 11.5 sacks in 2023 and 7.5 in 2024 despite playing only five games.

Walker, meanwhile, has posted 10 and 10.5 sacks over the past two seasons after registering 3.5 as a rookie. He also totaled 60 tackles last year.

Graham leaves Michigan with career stats of nine sacks, 56 pressures, and 122 tackles.

While it may be unfair to say the Jaguars must atone for past draft decisions, Graham could be a key addition to their defensive line. If both he and Walker perform well, Jacksonville fans and critics may eventually put the second-guessing to rest.
