    Oklahoma State Lands Kaydin Jones

According to insider Eli Lederman, the Cowboys were able to sign the No. 3 running back in the state of Oklahoma.

That running back is none other than Kaydin Jones, the son of former Oklahoma Sooners running back Kejuan Jones. The younger Jones picked Oklahoma State over the likes of Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisville, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.

It is safe to say that the Jones household will be separated in the foreseeable future; at least, that will be the case when Bedlam takes place between Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.

The mullet strikes again as Mike Gundy has made yet another great signing. His track record with great college running backs is certainly worth noting, as he has helped send the likes of Kendall Hunter, Justice Hill, Chuba Hubbard, Joseph Randle, and soon-to-be Ollie Gordon to the NFL.

    Oklahoma State’s 2025 Goals

Gundy has been the head coach in Stillwater for two decades. During that time, the team has been somewhat of a wildcard.

Gundy has put together eight 10-win seasons in his Cowboys tenure but is coming off his second career season as a head coach with four wins or less. The Cowboys went 3-9 overall in 2024 (winless in conference) and failed to put up much of a fight. So, it appears the 57-year-old will need to kick things up a notch if he wants to stay away from the hot seat.

Perhaps the addition of Kaydin Jones can turn the team’s fortunes around in 2026 when he joins. The 5’10”, 175-pound back has run for at least 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns in each of his seasons at Broken Arrow High School. If he can be that productive in Stillwater, the Cowboys might have themselves a star in the making in a few years.
