Rcih Eisen Calls It a “Tremendous Idea!”

Eisen said on his show that he liked Sanders’s desire for spring games, “like a true Syracuse man, because did you see who responded to that on the spot?”

Brown, the Syracuse head coach, responded to Sanders’ tweet.

.@DeionSanders we will come to Boulder for 3 days🎯🍊🙏,” Brown said.

“Right, that makes sense, and plus it’s Fran Brown who is just like smart to say we’ll surf off of Deion’s buzz,” Eisen said. “Oh yeah, that’s a good buzz if Dion’s willing to parcel out some of his buzz. It’s a good buzz.”

Eisen then shared Sanders’s press conference, in which he elaborated on his plan to continue having College football spring games despite the current trend of not having them.

Eisen also elaborated on how such games would benefit the college players involved, as the NCAA does not permit teams to have joint practices and then play a game at the end of the week as the NFL does.

Eisen shared his thoughts about the spring games.

“Everybody’s cancelling their spring games because they’re afraid of giving everybody a look at who the transfer portal victims could be on the team,” Eisen said. “Oh, we see that kid’s playing second string. Snaps, somebody calls him up because he could be our first stringer.”

Sanders said earlier in the week, “You’re not going to stop nobody from leaving your program by not having a spring game. If you want to save money, say that. The kid’s already gone. They already reached out and contacted somebody else. They’re already gone.”

Steve Sarkisian has already said that the Texas Longhorns will not have a spring game this year, and many schools, like Nebraska, have also said they won’t be doing one.
