    2025 NFL Mock Draft | Round 1

    1) Cameron Ward, QB, Miami (FL)

    Tennessee Titans

Incarnate Word Cardinal turned Washington State Cougar turned Miami Hurricane quarterback Cam Ward has emerged as close to a consensus QB1 in the 2025 NFL Draft class as you’ll find.

Throughout his multi-team college journey, Ward has proven to be one of the most exciting passers in the nation, leading the nation in passing touchdowns and passing plays over 20 yards in his final campaign.

He has gradually dialed down some of the more erratic elements of his game, especially in his swan song in the AAC, but there is still some risk/reward element to his selection with the first overall pick.

The Tennessee Titans need a quarterback in the worst possible way, forcing them to bank on the electric playmaking, elevating the reward far above the risk of Ward’s penchant for questionable decisions.

    2) Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

    Cleveland Browns

Do the Cleveland Browns really feel comfortable moving into the 2025 NFL season with DeShaun Watson or Kenny Pickett as their starter under center? With Myles Garrett securely under contract, this 2025 NFL Mock Draft answers that question with an emphatic no.

Shedeur Sanders led the nation with 74.0% pass completion this fall while averaging 8.7 yards per pass attempt. He also led the Big 12 in total passing yards (4,134) and passing touchdowns (37).

16.7% of his completions resulted in a big-time play, and 10.5% resulted in a touchdown pass. Like or loathe the circus that surrounds him, the Colorado quarterback is the Browns’ best option, right now.

    3) Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

    New York Giants

The New York Giants are a potential trade-up partner for either the Browns or Titans, with their quarterback situation particularly dire. However, if either or both of the teams above them are sold, it can’t harm to land the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. It just so happens that he also fills a position of need for the NFC East outfit.

Travis Hunter is an exciting pass catcher whose athleticism and football intelligence make him a dangerous cornerback for quarterbacks to target. Rather than spending the offseason debating his best position in the NFL, simply throw on some Buffaloes tape and marvel at a high-caliber playmaker at work.

    4) Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

    New England Patriots

Abdul Carter hasn’t been shy in his belief that he should be the number one overall pick as the best player in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Having watched him terrorize Big Ten defenses for multiple seasons, it’s hard to argue against that assertion. He led the country in tackles for loss (23.5) in his final campaign for the Penn State Nittany Lions and is a missile programmed for quarterback destruction.

    5) Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

    Jacksonville Jaguars

The Michigan Wolverines have a rich pedigree of producing defensive juggernauts for the NFL in recent years and defensive tackle Mason Graham is set to continue that trend.

In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the hyper-athletic behemoth who tallied seven tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks during his final season in Ann Arbor takes his talent to a Jacksonville Jaguars defense that was one of the worst in the NFL.

    6) Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

    Las Vegas Raiders

Run the damn ball, baby! Pete Carroll famously spurned former Cal Golden Bears running back Marshawn Lynch’s goal-line prowess in a critical Super Bowl moment. Still, the new Las Vegas Raiders head coach should embrace Boise State Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty in any game situation.

A legitimate weapon, Jeanty is as comfortable ripping off long runs as he is taking defenders for a walk.

    7) Armand Membou, OT, Missouri

    New York Jets

There are too many teams that need a quarterback and not enough good quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft class. The New York Jets secured Justin Fields this offseason, meaning they don’t have to reach for a backup-level talent with premium capital.

They do need to address the offensive line, and Armand Membou gives them a stellar pass protector who allowed an impressive 2.74% pressure rate across his entire career.

    8) Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M

    Carolina Panthers

The hype surrounding Texas A&M Aggies pass rusher Shemar Stewart is finally catching up to his talent, and there is a legitimate chance that he will land in the top 10 come April.

His destination in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft is the Carolina Panthers, who could use his freakish athleticism and exciting pass-rush toolset to improve a rock-bottom defense in the NFL due to an ability to create pressure.

    9) Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama

    New Orleans Saints

Tyler Booker is a behemoth at 6’5” and 352 pounds who thrives by utilizing his size and power to bully defensive tackles on the interior. While not the most potent Alabama offense we’ve ever seen, the Crimson Tide were a balanced unit this fall, ranking 56th for passing offense (236.4 yards per game) and 47th for rushing offense (173.85).

DRAFT COUNTDOWN: 10 Free Agency Moves That Changed the 2025 NFL Draft

Booker tallied 371 pass blocking snaps and 372 run blocking snaps. He allowed a pressure on just 2.69% of those snaps and was credited with allowing zero sacks, according to TruMedia. He’s a plug-and-play improvement to the New Orleans Saints offensive line.

    10) Will Campbell, OT, LSU

    Chicago Bears

A Consensus All-American in 2024, LSU Tigers offensive tackle Will Campbell heads to the Chicago Bears in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft. A high-volume pass protector who faced over 500 pass protection snaps in his final collegiate campaign, he allowed just two sacks all season and stands to be an upgrade for the protection of Caleb Williams.

    11) Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

    San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers might prove the ideal landing spot for Georgia Bulldogs defensive dynamo Jalon Walker. Straddling the line between a traditional off-ball linebacker and an edge prospect, there have been some concerns over his NFL usage.

Given the 49ers need to address both positions, they can gamble on his physical tools and figure out exactly how to use him once he’s in the building.

    12) Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

    Dallas Cowboys

Tyler Warren was comfortably one of the best college football players in the country during the 2024 season, emerging as a do-it-all offensive weapon who would have taken the Paul Hornung Award for the most versatile player if not for the existence of Travis Hunter.

The Dallas Cowboys need a pass-catching weapon in their offense, regardless of where he lines up, and Warren gives them a cheat-code that can impact the game in multiple facets.

    13) Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas

    Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have multiple needs on the offensive line, and Kelvin Banks Jr. is a man who could potentially fill several of them. He meets the requisite size for an NFL offensive tackle, and there’s no reason to think he couldn’t be a long-term solution once Terron Armstead departs.

He’s been an award-winning cornerstone for the Texas Longhorns at the position, allowing just one sack and a pressure rate of 1.94% during just under 900 snaps. He’s never played the guard position, but given his physical attributes and nasty demeanor, a switch inside might not be out of the question.

    14) Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

    Indianapolis Colts

With needs on the offensive line and a regular partner for Penn State tight end Warren in most editions of a 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the board doesn’t quite fall for the Indianapolis Colts here.

However, they have a significant need at linebacker, and Jihaad Campbell appears to be gaining steam as the best of the bunch late in the process. The Alabama Crimson Tide product can get after the quarterback and ended the 2024 season with 117 tackles, including 12 for loss.

    15) Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

    Atlanta Falcons

After missing a huge chunk of his final season due to injury, it feels like Michigan Wolverines cornerback Will Johnson has become something of a forgotten man.

MORE MOCK DRAFTS: 7-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft — Abdul Carter Goes No. 1, Shedeur Sanders Falls Out of Top 10

However, he’s a dangerous cornerback who has the length, fluidity, and intelligence to be a constant disruptive force on an NFL back end. He’s never had a season with less than two interceptions, something the Atlanta Falcons could desperately use.

    16) Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

    Arizona Cardinals

While he might not possess the headline numbers of some of his contemporaries in the class, Georgia pass rusher Mykel Williams oozes production off the edge. He’s never had a campaign with less than seven tackles for loss and finished his Bulldogs career with 14 sacks.

He’s explosive, plays with a hot motor, and, heading into the NFL without the hype of some former teammates, is set to play with a chip on his shoulder wherever he lands in the NFL Draft.

    17) Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College

    Cincinnati Bengals

Donovan Ezeiruaku was one of the most destructive pass rushers in all of college football in 2024. The Boston College Eagles product earned All-American honors and was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year after racking up 21 tackles for loss and 16.5 sacks.

He’s blessed with length and power to be a bully at the point of attack and leaves offensive linemen trailing in his wake with his relentless pursuit of anyone with the ball in the backfield.

    18) Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

    Seattle Seahawks

Yes, I know the Seattle Seahawks just landed Cooper Kupp. Yes, I know they have Jaxon Smith-Njigba. That shouldn’t preclude them from pulling the trigger on Tetairoa McMillan if he’s still kicking around past midway through Day 1.

The Arizona Wildcats wide receiver quietly put together a 1,319-yard campaign in the midst of a difficult season for the program, and his size and eye-popping catch ability would give Sam Darnold a dangerous outlet.

    19) Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers

From winning a national championship as a true freshman in 2022 to earning All-American honors in 2023, Malaki Starks has asserted himself as one of the top defensive players in college football over the past three seasons.

If you want game-changing defensive production from a safety who can impact the game in all phases, Malaki Starks is your man. That’s exactly what the Tampa Bay Buccaneers need.

    20) Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

    Denver Broncos

When he was in college, Bo Nix was always at his best when he had a ground game that opened up the passing game for him. Right now, the Denver Broncos don’t possess a defensive obliterating weapon in the backfield.

As such, they shouldn’t rule out selecting a Round 1 running back, even in a deep class. Omarion Hampton is the best of the rest after Boise State’s Jeanty and is just as capable of doing the dirty work between the tackles as he is making explosive plays.

    21) Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon

    Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers could get dragged into an over-draft situation at the quarterback position, but avoid that situation in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft.

MORE DRAFT COVERAGE: The Most Versatile Prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft

There is a significant need on the defensive front to fill, and Oregon Ducks tackle Derrick Harmon is the perfect size to plug that gap. He’s a dancing bear at 6’5″ and 330 pounds who loves to make his presence felt in opposition backfields.

    22) Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

    Los Angeles Chargers

I toyed with the idea of sending Texas Longhorns wide receiver Matthew Golden to the Los Angeles Chargers with the 22nd selection of this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, but given the opportunity to reunite with one of his former Michigan Wolverines players, I think Jim Harbaugh could pull the trigger on Colston Loveland.

The Michigan tight end has the potential to outstrip his college production in the NFL and has the skill set to be one of the top receiving tight ends.

    23) Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina

    Green Bay Packers

With the cornerback position in flux for the Green Bay Packers, the franchise pulls the trigger on an East Carolina Pirates playmaker who should be the next great defensive back to come from the Group of Five level.

Shavon Revel was a preseason darling for most draft analysts, but college football fans around the country were deprived of seeing his ascension to national attention thwarted by injury.

The fact that he set career-high interception numbers in just three games this season tells you everything you need to know about the caliber of play we were expecting last fall. He’s a size, speed, smart triple-threat who knows where he needs to be at all times and has the physical tools to get there.

    24) Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

    Minnesota Vikings

Nick Emmanwori has been a College Sports Network sweetheart at the safety position for some time now, and after his impressive showing at the NFL Combine, the rest of the world has cottoned on to the South Carolina Gamecocks superstar.

He’s built like a linebacker but has the athleticism of a safety, allowing him to impact the game in all phases. That was evidenced by three tackles for loss, 88 total tackles, four interceptions, and two pick-sixes in 2024.

    25) Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

    Houston Texans

Josh Simmons is arguably one of the most intriguing offensive linemen in the 2025 NFL Draft class. A former San Diego State Aztecs product, he established himself with the Ohio State Buckeyes and was considered among the best tackles in the country ahead of the season.

Simmons allowed pressure on just 0.66% of his pass block snaps early in the year before succumbing to a season-ending injury against the Oregon Ducks. If he can recover his previous form and full health, he could be the long-term answer at left tackle for the Houston Texans.

    26) Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

    Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams have multiple defensive needs heading into the 2025 NFL Draft, but their positioning late in the first round may limit their options at linebacker and edge.

If Texas Longhorns defensive back Jahdae Barron is still available, they should run the card up to the podium for a player who snags interceptions for fun and hits with the best of them despite his diminutive stature.

    27) Grey Zabel, OG, North Dakota State

    Baltimore Ravens

Grey Zabel is set to be the next non-FBS offensive lineman to garner first round NFL Draft capital. The former North Dakota State Bison was a pivotal force in the program’s run to an FCS title, carving open rushing lanes for a dominant ground game led by quarterback Cam Miller.

He can fill a similar role for the Baltimore Ravens, using his physicality to beat down a path to the end zone from the interior.

    28) Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

    Detroit Lions

Versatile lineman Walter Nolen is young, athletic, and deadly powerful, a combination that should leave Detroit Lions fans salivating with his selection in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft.

Compensatory Picks in the 2025 NFL Draft: What They Are and Why They Matter

His college career ended in a glittering explosion with the Ole Miss Rebels after gradually building at Texas A&M, earning All-American honors after a career-high campaign that yielded 14 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks.

    29) Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M

    Washington Commanders

After knocking the 2024 NFL Draft out of the park, the Washington Commanders have a lot to live up to this time around. Their needs are primarily defensive, and getting an edge presence like Nic Scourton to bolster their pass-rush attack would be a stellar move.

The former Purdue Boilermaker made the most of his transfer to the SEC with Texas A&M, putting his well-developed tools to devastating use.

    30) Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

    Buffalo Bills

I’ve had my eye on Trey Amos since his time with the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, and it is no surprise that his game translated effortlessly to the SEC with Alabama and, finally, Ole Miss.

He’s an experienced defensive playmaker with an eye for the ball and the catch radius to make things happen at the catch point. His eye-opening athleticism makes him a difficult proposition for any wide receiver in one-on-one combat.

    31) Donovan Jackson, OG, Ohio State

    Kansas City Chiefs

Donovan Jackson entered the year as one of the top guard prospects in the country, but when called into duty at the tackle position for Ohio State’s national championship run, he didn’t disappoint.

His pressure numbers might not be the best in the class (pressure on 3.24% of career snaps), but he helped power the Buckeyes’ 29th-ranked passing offense and would be a versatile piece for the Kansas City Chiefs.

    32) Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

    Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles bring this 2025 NFL Mock Draft to a close with the selection of Marshall Thundering Herd pass rusher Mike Green.

No player in college football was more adept at getting to the quarterback in 2024, as he led the nation with 17 sacks while also registering 23 tackles for loss. He mitigated lazy national assumptions about “competition level” with a stellar showing at the Senior Bowl that should secure him a Day 1 selection.
