With free agency opening in the NFL, it’s time to reassess mock drafts. As team needs shift and potential interest in specific prospects evolves, it is time to see who can land where after the landscape just changed.
In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, we explore some new fits and see who could go higher or lower than previously expected.

2025 NFL Mock Draft | Round 1
1) Cam Ward, QB, Miami (FL)
Tennessee Titans
The Titans should actively look to trade this pick. However, if there isn’t a favorable market and they stick and pick, Cam Ward could be the pick.

— Drew (@IronCityFilm) March 12, 2025
The Miami Hurricanes quarterback is an incredibly instinctual and creative passer who offers the athleticism and natural playmaking ability of modern NFL passers. Ward’s ball security and turnover tendencies do have cause for concern, but if he can limit that in the NFL, then he appears to be the clear QB1.
2) Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
Cleveland Browns
Myles Garrett is returning to Cleveland after signing a monster contract, but that shouldn’t prevent the Browns from selecting Abdul Carter and creating one of the scariest pass-rushing duos in the league.
Carter is a freak athlete who offers a high upside at the next level. With 12 sacks and 24 TFLs in 2024, the Penn State edge rusher showcased the ability to be physically imposing, athletically dominant, and refined in his instinctual use of pass rush moves.
3) Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
New York Giants
If the Giants haven’t made a play for the No. 1 overall pick by the time April’s showcase comes around, then you have to imagine they have a stop-gap figured out at the quarterback position. If that is the case, then they could grab one of the elite players in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Travis Hunter is a true two-way player who could impact both sides of the ball in New York, but his rare anticipation, elite athleticism, and natural football IQ project best at corner. There isn’t anyone who can do what the Heisman Trophy winner does in the NFL.
4) Will Campbell, OT, LSU
New England Patriots
The Patriots have signed Morgan Moses in free agency to play right tackle, but they could still upgrade the offensive line at multiple positions. Opinions are split on whether Will Campbell is a true tackle or a guard because of his arm length. However, he would be an upgrade at either spot in New England.
5) Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
Jacksonville Jaguars
Mason Graham is both the best player available and fills a need for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Michigan defensive tackle is a refined, technical interior presence who plays with violent movement and punchy hands.
6) Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
Las Vegas Raiders
After trading for Geno Smith, the Raiders are set up to draft the best player available at sixth overall. With 2,497 yards and 29 touchdowns rushing, Ashton Jeanty offers elite vision, contact balance, and an instant change of direction to be a game-changing running back in Chip Kelly’s offense.
7) Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
New York Jets
The Jets have a glaring need at right tackle. Armand Membou is a pure right tackle who offers elite athletic ability, fluid movement, and powerful strength. His consistent base, explosive burst, and heavy hands make him a dominant force when blocking on an island.
8) Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
Carolina Panthers
The upside of Shemar Stewart will be too enticing for an NFL team not to pull the trigger in the top 10. With 1.5 sacks in each of the last three seasons, the production isn’t there.
However, players Stewart’s size shouldn’t move the way he does, and the pressure presence paired with prototypical size and untapped potential means he will go high.
9) Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
New Orleans Saints
Tyler Warren is a dynamic offensive weapon who offers superior play-making abilities to be an explosive mismatch. The 6’6” 260-pound tight end has crafty route running and is elusive after the catch to make plays at all three levels. It will bring a different type of offensive creativity to New Orleans.
10) Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
Chicago Bears
After reinvigorating their interior offensive line in free agency, the Bears have become an intriguing pivot point in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft and can go in several different directions.
In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, Chicago adds another receiver to pair alongside Rome Odunze and DJ Moore. Tetairoa McMillan is a long, rangy pass catcher who has an expansive catch radius and underrated athletic ability.
11) Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
San Francisco 49ers
At 6’3” and 339 pounds, Kenneth Grant is a freaky mover who has the skill set to thrive on early downs. The Michigan defensive tackle creates leverage with his impressive athleticism and overarching power profile, where his quick burst and strength eat up running lanes and naturally create pressure.
12) Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama
Dallas Cowboys
With Zach Martin retiring, the Cowboys could look to draft along the offensive line in round one again in 2025. Tyler Booker is a powerful guard who brings a mauling mentality and tone-setting strength. The Alabama interior offensive lineman easily negates bull rushers and plays low to create leverage by attacking under the pads.
13) Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
Miami Dolphins
Nick Emmanwori was the standout of the 2025 NFL Combine. He was already thought of highly, but his incredible performance has brought further national attention to his first-round credentials.

— PFF College (@PFF_College) February 28, 2025
The South Carolina Gamecocks defensive back would be a day one starter as a rookie in Miami, where his explosive movement, secure tackling, and physicality can allow him to play from the nickel or from the box.
14) Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
Indianapolis Colts
We have reached the point in the 2025 NFL Draft cycle where Will Johson is now underrated. The star Michigan corner suffered with injuries in 2024, but his 2023 tape is up there with the best in this class.
At 6’2” and 202 pounds, Johnson plays with intelligence and anticipation while playing with control and technically sound movement and route mirroring.
15) Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
Atlanta Falcons
Jihaad Campbell is the exact type of player Raheem Morris looks for on defense. The versatile Alabama linebacker is effective in coverage while also displaying dominance as a pass rusher.
The ability to move him around the formation and keep him on the field for all three downs will create another dynamic on the Falcons’ defense that needs instant improvement on their pass-rushing metrics in 2025.
16) Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia
Arizona Cardinals
Jalon Walker will open up the playbook for the Cardinals on defense. The Georgia Bulldog is a versatile weapon, but his best plays come when he is rushing the passer.
While he is slightly undersized, his dynamic athleticism, promising production, rare flexibility, and diverse pass-rush moves make him a creative presence who can survive on the NFL field on all three downs.
17) Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
Cincinnati Bengals
Jahdae Barron tested more athletically than expected at the 2025 NFL Combine. The versatile Texas defensive back brings top-tier awareness and anticipation. The Longhorn led the SEC with five interceptions in 2025, showcasing natural ball-hawking tendencies and exceptional leadership qualities.
18) Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
Seattle Seahawks
Now, without DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, the Seahawks will need to provide more weapons to their fresh quarterback, Sam Darnold. Matthew Golden creates separation with his reliable route running and quick change of direction in intermediate zones. He plays with tempo and rhythm while running a sub-4.3 second 40-yard dash.
19) Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The lead sack artist in the FBS, Mike Green, generated 17 sacks in 2024. A plus-level athlete with notorious bend and cultured pass rush, the Marshall Thundering Herd edge rusher finish plays converting over 25% of his pressures into sacks whilst also being productive against the run.
20) Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
Denver Broncos
Colston Loveland is the difference maker Sean Payton is looking for at the tight end position. At 6’5” and 245 pounds, the Wolverines’ tight end is predominantly a pass catcher who can operate in-line or in the slot where his field-stretching threat, adequate route running, and large catch radius can become Bo Nix’s best friend.
21) Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
Pittsburgh Steelers
The contracts that are being given out in free agency tell us what the NFL thinks of the 2025 quarterback class. While it has seemed unlikely until now, maybe we need to adjust mock drafts accordingly.

Sheduer Sanders may be the passer best suited to starting as a rookie, but his ceiling at the next level is challenging. However, learning behind a veteran in a winning environment may be the best opportunity for the Colorado quarterback to cultivate his skills.
22) Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers need to get younger up front grew drastically after they released Joey Bosa. Mykell Williams is a stout run defender who possesses prototypical size and elite run defending.
However, the Bulldogs defensive end’s pass rush arsenal is raw and needs significant growth. But he has the size, athleticism, and agility to continue developing at the next level.
23) Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
Green Bay Packers
Nic Scouton had a down year in 2024 and played heavy. However, he reduced his weight from 285 to 257 at the Combine. That will put teams back on notice. The Texas A&M pass rusher led the Big Ten in sacks at Purdue in 2023, where his go-to spin move was deadly.
Scourton’s size, production, and polished pass-rush profile as an excellent fit with the Packers, who need to get younger, more productive, and more athletic on the defensive line.
24) Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
Minnesota Vikings
Malaki Starks has fallen down boards, but he is still one of the top prospects in this class, regardless of his athletic testing. An aggressive, intelligent, and instinctual defensive back, Starks has incredible body control and a quick downhill trigger to attack the ball and interrupt routes.
25) Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
Houston Texans
If it weren’t for a season-ending knee injury, Josh Simmons would be being talked about as a top-15 selection in this class. The Ohio State left tackle is a great athlete with fluid mobility and sharp body control.
With Laremy Tunsil traded, Simmons can immediately step into the starting left tackle role in Houston.
26) Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina
Los Angeles Rams
A long, twitchy, physical corner, Shavon Revel still offers a first-round profile despite his season-ending injury. The East Carolina Pirates cornerback is an elite athlete who plays with aggressive physicality and violent speed.
Furthermore, Revel’s flexible body control, sharp route recognition, and assertive ball skills give him rare upside heading to the pros.
27) Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas
Baltimore Ravens
Ronnie Stanley has resigned with the Ravens, but they still need to plan for the future. Kelvin Banks Jr. offers the skillset to play guard as a rookie before eventually moving out to tackle when ready.
At 6’4” and 325 pounds, the Texas left tackle has quick footwork and grippy hands but needs to be more refined as a run blocker before he can be trusted to play exclusively as a tackle.
28) Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College
Detroit Lions
Donovan Ezeiruaku is a bendy, flexible, athletic pass rusher with relentless pursuit. With 16.5 sacks in 2024, the Boston College Eagles’ edge rusher demonstrated a killer swim move and a natural ability to target the inside shoulder of offensive linemen to create pressure.
29) James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
Washington Commanders
James Pearce Jr. is a twitchy edge rusher who would be a steal at this point of the 2025 NFL Draft.

— SCOUTD (@scoutdnfl) February 27, 2025
With 17.5 sacks in his last two seasons in Tennessee, the athletic pass rusher has the instant speed and elite explosiveness to overwhelm form wide alignments, while his natural understanding of pass rush move deployment and technique has the upside of a double-digit sack merchant in the NFL.
30) Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
Kansas City Chiefs
Luther Burden is a twitchy athlete who is an elite playmaker. An elusive YAC threat who can stretch the field with his sharp, savvy route running, the Missouri wide receiver is an explosive threat who creates mismatches across the formation.
31) Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon
Philadelphia Eagles
It is difficult to see the Chiefs going anything but an offensive tackle in round one. They could even be a candidate to trade up.
Josh Conerly Jr. is an athletic left tackle who wins with quickness, fluid movement, and footwork. While he does need to improve his overall strength profile, his accurate hand usage, shape displacement ability, and anticipation allow him to contain twitchy edge rushers.
32) Grey Zabel, OT, North Dakota State
Philadelphia Eagles
Grey Zabel has five-position flexibility and has the skill set to compete for a starting guard role in Philadelphia as a rookie. At 6’5” and 316 pounds, the North Dakota State offensive lineman has a strong anchor and low center of gravity to get under his opponents’ pads.
