Kalen DeBoer’s 5-Star Alabama Commit on Flip Watch as Trainer Exposes Sherrone Moore’s Secret Intentions

The battle for five-star preps recruit Alexander Ward is real, as Michigan Wolverines head coach Sherrone Moore has entered the fray to secure what some are calling the next Travis Hunter. Kalen DeBoer’s Recruitment of Alexander Ward

Alabama Crimson Tide Coach Kalen DeBoer went to work early on recruiting the 2027 ATH, ensuring that he locked down Ward and had him commit to playing defensive back for the Tide. Ward reportedly already has a connection with WR Caleb Odom, who was a freshman last season.

Ward also had Georgia, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Florida State, and Auburn contact him. On3 has ranked at No. 57 nationally.

Meanwhile, Wolverines coach Sherrone Moore made his push to have him consider why Michigan would be a better place to play.

Coach Mil, a recruitment specialist with Ballers Choice, recently spoke on the Wolverines’ recruitment push.

“Michigan loves Alex,” Mil said. “He wants to be a two-way player. He is the next Travis Hunter. He has the high school pop. He’s a five-star. He has my vote as the No. 1 athlete in the 2027 class.

“He has the size and smarts. He trains with me and Josh Norman, who is an NFL legend. Josh Norman is always mentoring him and honing his craft. Alex is definitely the next big-time two-way player in college football,” Mil continued.

Alexander’s Brother Is Also Receiving Interest

It gets even better for Michigan, as Alexander’s brother Christian is the older of the two and will meet Michigan in Ann Arbor on March 18.

Even when Jim Harbaugh was still at Michigan, there was interest in Christian. To add another layer of intrigue, Coach Mil is also his trainer. Christian ran a 4.4 40-yard dash and reportedly tops out at 23 MPH.

Mil also spoke about his relationship with Harbaugh at the time and Ron Bellamy, the Michigan wide receivers coach.

“He’s like an uncle. I’m close to the Harbaugh family. He wanted to get down to Georgia, so we got him down to Mercer. Christian was an eighth grader, but they got to see him. Coach Harbaugh was like ‘who is this long kid?’ He’s been on Michigan’s radar for a while. Ron (Bellamy) got to see him, and he offered him.”
