Michigan State Spartans guard Jase Richardson is having a tremendous freshman season, establishing himself as a top player for the Spartans. He also has a younger brother, Jaxon Richardson, who’s on the path of being a top college player as well.

Meet Jase Richardson’s Younger Brother, 4-Star Recruit Jaxon Richardson
Richardson has emerged late in the season as a go-to scorer for Michigan State. As a result, he’s moved into the spotlight for a team with high aspirations of winning an NCAA National Championship come April.
The son of NBA veteran Jason Richardson, Jase’s family life has also become more publicized as he’s stepped into a bigger scoring role.
Included in that is the discovery for some that in just a couple years, Richardson’s younger brother may be tearing up the college basketball world in all the same ways his older brother is now.
Listed as a small forward on 247 Sports, Jaxon is a four-star recruit and the 19th-ranked player in the country for the class of 2026.
A native of Miami, FL, Richardson currently attends Columbus High School. He stands a little taller than his older brother Jase, who stands 6’4″. Jaxon is 6’6″, 200-pounds and holds offers from the likes of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Arizona State Sun Devils, Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs among others.
He’s yet to commit to a program.
Richardson goes to the same high school as former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozers sons, Cameron and Cayden. The program notched their fourth-straight state title at the beginning of March, an impressive run by a dominant Columbus High School squad.
In the state title game, Richardson showcased his defensive prowess by tallying five blocks and two steals — in the first half.

He finished with 14 points and seven boards, a key player for the Florida high school state champions.
While his older brother excels on the offensive end, averaging nearly 17.0 ppg for the Spartans over his last eight games, Jaxon is a menace on the defensive side.
Soon enough, he’ll be terrorizing ball-handlers on the college level at the program of his choice.
