When Timi Oke committed to Northwestern, he did so to take the next step of his football career.
He has since impressed scouts alike, with many thinking he is primed for a big college career. He revealed a diet that kept him going, and spoiler alert: it’s impressive.

Breaking Down Timi Oke’s Strict Diet
Oke, a Northwestern freshman, was recruited from across the pond, hailing from London. While most colleges find someone in the States, Northwestern had no issue going a little bit further.
Two weeks ago, Oke posted a video on his Instagram account that showed people the diet it takes to keep an active football player going. This includes, at 8:30 a.m., a sandwich, yogurt, and a smoothie. He followed this up at 9:00 a.m., taking supplements like Vitamin D, Omega-3 Fish Oil, and Klean Creatine, and at 11:00 a.m., having a protein shake.

Oke said he would eat lunch around 1:30 p.m. with a salad emoji. He usually has a salad, but he also showed his lunch of chicken, corn, and pasta of some sort with bacon bits on it. He then has a snack around 3:00 p.m., which is a Pro Bar protein bar with 20g of protein. For dinner, he typically does a delicious takeout meal.
While this may seem like a lot of food for the average person, a football player is 100% not your average person. This diet keeps Oke going and is helping him improve to be the best football player he can be.
Oke knows he is far from being the finished product of himself. However, he is more than ready to roll up his sleeves and put the time and effort into becoming the best version of himself, which only starts on the football field.
Choosing Northwestern to do that at was indeed a no-brainer for Oke. He was very grateful for his visit and spoke about how everyone welcomed him with open arms, which can be a big issue for someone who comes to play a sport for another country.
Oke chose Northwestern to play football, not just for the football but also for the academic standing. He carried a 4.0 GPA to Northwestern, showing he’s a very smart and knowledgeable human alongside a great athlete. This gives him a bunch of routes he can go down.

Discipline is the name of the game for a football player, and as you can see from his diet, Oke is a very disciplined person. The work on the field is only some of what goes into being a successful football player, with keeping yourself healthy off the field being equally important.
