Horn’s relationship with Coach Prime started during his high school recruitment. Despite first choosing South Florida, Horn transferred to Colorado, where Sanders kept his earlier commitment to guide and encourage him.

Horn Jr. faced several challenging situations in his life. His father was imprisoned in 2021 on drug-related charges. Coach Prime stepped in to help the youngster improve his football skills.
Horn felt his father’s absence on Senior Day, a time when families normally assemble. Sanders stood behind him without hesitation, embodying family. Sanders emphasized his feelings, saying, “Jimmy is like my kid. I love him that much.”
Sanders accompanied Horn to see his father in prison, indicating his commitment to his well-being. This deed highlighted Sanders’ dedication to his teammates’ personal lives, assisting during crucial times.
