These two teams will face off in the quarterfinals of the SEC Women’s Tournament at 6:00 p.m. ET on the SEC Network from Greenville, South Carolina.

This will be Texas’s first-ever SEC Tournament game after coming over from the Big 12 last offseason.

The No. 1-ranked Longhorns are arguably the best team in the country, let alone the SEC, after going 29-2 during the regular season (15-1 in conference). Still, the South Carolina Gamecocks clinched the one-seed and regular season title.

Texas looks like a real contender in the SEC Tournament and could very well be one of the favorites in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

For Ole Miss, the Rebels are coming into this game with an overall record of 20-9 (10-6 in conference play). A win over the No. 1-ranked team in the country could certainly cement the Rebels as a truly dangerous team heading into the NCAA Tournament.

    Key Notes

The Longhorns have not lost since Jan. 12 and have lost just once since Dec. 5, which is absurd. That is thanks in large part to the play of the 2025 SEC Player of the Year, Madison Booker, who has shown up this year.

She is averaging 16.0 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game, 2.9 assists per game, and 1.6 steals per game. Additionally, the Mississippi native is shooting 41.7% from three-point range. If the Longhorns are going to go far in this tournament in the “Big Dance,” it will be because of Booker.

On the Ole Miss side of things, point guard Madison Scott is the team’s most complete player.

Averaging 11.9 points per game, 5.2 rebounds per game, and 3.8 assists per game, Scott is the driving force behind the success of her team this year. The fifth-year senior is the leader in the huddle and strongly desires to win a title in arguably the toughest conference in America.

Again, if you are a true fan of the game and are looking for something to watch tonight, this matchup might be the one for you.
