    Chris Beard’s Salary & Contract

    Chris Beard signed a contract with Ole Miss in March 2023 that pays $3.25 million per year, with a $100K increment each year after that. His salary is expected to reach $3.45 million next season.

    In addition, the deal includes performance-based incentives, such as bonuses for winning the SEC regular season and the national title. Beard is also entitled to a $400K retention incentive if he remains under contract until May 1, 2026.

    Before joining Ole Miss, Beard was the head coach at the University of Texas. In April 2021, he signed a seven-year, $35 million contract with an average of $5 million per year.

    The appointment came after a successful stint at Texas Tech, where he received a six-year extension worth more than $4.5 million per year in April 2019, making him one of the highest-paid coaches in college basketball at the time.
