The Texas Tech Red Raiders unveiled their new $242 million Womble Football Center ahead of the 2025 college football campaign. The images released to social media show a state-of-the-art facility that includes various modern features designed to help with team performance, recovery, and comfort, plus a tribute to Patrick Mahomes.

The amazing new center also includes a “Patrick Mahomes Walk-Through Room,” honoring one of their most accomplished alumni.
Mahomes spent all three years of his college football career with the Red Raiders and finished his career with 11,252 passing yards and 115 total touchdowns. Due to this phenomenal college career, he is a member of the Texas Tech Ring of Honor.
The popular sports X (formerly known as Twitter) profile ‘Front Office Sports’ released a set of photos of the new facility. The account also provided a list of the various features and rooms at the new state-of-the-art Womble Football Center:

Texas Tech Red Raiders 2025 College Football Outlook
The Red Raiders had a good season last year in the Big 12 Conference. The program finished with an overall record of 8-5 and went 6-3 against fellow Big 12 opponents.
They had a dominant offensive unit, one that averaged an impressive 38.5 points per game last year. That value was good enough for No. 5 overall in all of college football.
The unit was led by star running back Tahj Brooks, who had 1,505 rushing yards, 17 rushing touchdowns, 199 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown last year.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Red Raiders struggled mightily. They averaged 34.8 points against per game, a value that ranked No. 122 overall in the nation last season.

As is evident, the team will need to improve on this concerning statistic next year if the program has any chance of competing for a Big 12 Championship and a National Title.
While it remains to be definitively seen whether the program takes a positive step next year, it is evident that the Red Raiders have a lot to be excited about with the unveiling of their new state-of-the-art Womble Football Center.
