For some NFL Draft prospects, the week of the Scouting Combine is one of the most important weeks of their lives. This is especially the case for Oregon Ducks wide receiver Tez Johnson.

Recapping Tez Johnson’s Special Week
Johnson declared for the NFL Draft after a phenomenal college career. Over his five-year career, he put up over 3,000 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns. Johnson took off after transferring to Oregon from Troy and positioned himself as an intriguing NFL Draft prospect.
Johnson was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine to showcase his athletic abilities in front of every team in the league. He had an up-and-down performance, but his 1.53 10-yard split in the 40-yard dash showed off the quickness he displayed throughout his college career.

The long speed we saw on tape didn’t translate, however. Johnson recorded a disappointing 40 time (4.51) and weighed in as the lightest receiver at the Combine (154 pounds).
This was unusual due to what we saw on tape, but in pads, Johnson was one of the fastest players in the country. Yet, he quickly redeemed himself.
Johnson ran the top three-cone drill (6.65) and had the fourth-best 20-yard shuttle (4.15) among receivers. The former Oregon star also had a solid 37-inch vertical jump and, most importantly, looked smooth during the on-field drills.
Johnson was a popular player at the Combine. He met with the Buccaneers, Rams, Texans, Broncos, and Raiders. The highly productive receiver has interest from teams around the league. The week had already been remarkable, but it just kept on getting better.
Johnson took to Instagram to announce his engagement.
