Things could be getting interesting between the Las Vegas Raiders and Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart.
Dart is one of the NFL Draft’s most coveted quarterbacks, and stars are aligning for him to possibly join up with a Raiders team that has a couple of connections to him.

Jaxson Dart Knows Raiders Coaches and Players
Dart spoke about his meeting with the Raiders this week, as well as his relationships with certain Raiders personnel, in front of the media at the Combine today.
Jaxson Dart said he met with the Raiders this week.
Chip Kelly recruited him out of high school so there is already a relationship there.
Dart showed love to JPJ who is one of his best friends from high school.

With Chip Kelly taking over as the new offensive coordinator in Las Vegas, his previous relationship with Kelly could prove useful if the Raiders wanted Dart to be their QB of the future.
Also, Dart noted that Jackson Powers-Johnson, one of his old high school buddies, is a young offensive lineman. The organization drafted him in the second round last year.
These connections could make head coach Pete Carroll and Co. want to draft him in a few months.
Dart’s Impressive Run at Ole Miss
The reason teams are interested in drafting Dart is because of his impressive college career in Oxford.
An All-SEC performer, Dart threw for over 7,500 combined yards and 52 touchdown passes over his final two seasons playing for head coach Lane Kiffin. He also completed over 65% of his passes each of the last two seasons.
A mobile QB, Dart can be a great playmaker both inside and outside of the pocket. An organization like the Raiders needs an elite playmaker who is ready to be a day-one starter in the league.
Dart’s ability, combined with Kelly’s aggressive play-calling, could finally give the Raiders some consistency under center. Of course, Tom Brady may also favor this move.

Time will tell to see which way the Raiders lean in their QB process, as they could look to draft a player like Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders.
