One of the more intriguing prospects at the NFL Combine this year is Notre Dame linebacker Jack Kiser. The longtime Fighting Irish star spoke to the media in Indianapolis ahead of his tests.

Jack Kiser’s Mindset
Kiser appears to be ready for the moment so far at the NFL Combine, and he hopes to leave executives and coaches with a strong impression this week.
“It’s certainly just something really special to be a part of…Just super excited to be here…Trying to show them who Jack Kiser is and why they should fall in love with me.”
In the beginning, a great player cannot be great unless he has a great attitude about what he is facing. Kiser looks the part of a veteran linebacker who could be exactly what the right team is looking for.
After an exceptional career in South Bend, it is fitting that the Royal Center, Ind., native is looking to make his mark in Indianapolis at the NFL Combine.
Kiser’s Accomplished College Career
It will be very hard to find a more seasoned player at this particular NFL Combine than Kiser, who is 24 years of age. He played six years of football at Notre Dame under multiple head coaches.
In his final season playing under head coach Marcus Freeman, he played his best ball as he helped the team reach the national title game. He recorded 90 total tackles (career-high), 55 solo tackles (career-high), two sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. The improvements that he made each season were very evident.
Much like the quarterback position, NFL teams love prospects who played plenty of games in college. The experience is perhaps the most valuable piece of a player’s track record as they look to make their mark at the next level.

Look for Kiser to be highly sought after once he is done testing at the NFL Combine.
He may not be a first-round pick, but with the work that he was able to put in for years, he should be able to carve out a nice role as a rookie for any team.
