UConn women’s basketball star Paige Bueckers graced the cover of GQ Hype magazine, and college hoop fans gushed about it.

Paige Bueckers Shines on GQ Hype Cover, Fans Rave Over Her Style
An Instagram post by the magazine featured three photos of Bueckers. The first showed her on the cover, wearing a stripped nude suit and a pair of black shoes. She completed the look with a customized green face cap.
In the second photo, the fifth-year guard wore a blue and red cropped top over a pair of short, brown stockings and blue shoes while she leaned on a sculpted wolf. The third photo showed her posing with an open book while she was decked in a red jacket, black trousers, a pair of red-stripped white stockings, and blue shoes.
“With elite skills, massive NIL deals, and an army of TikTok stans, UConn’s Paige Bueckers embodies the excitement — and the unprecedented power — of the new era of women’s basketball,” the post was captioned.
“You can’t really be great unless you’re confident,” the college hoops phenom told GQ. Still, you’d be hard-pressed to clock an air of pretension. When she says she is humble, you believe her. “You don’t have to be exclusively one or the other. In no way, shape, or form have I gotten here by myself—I’ve had so many people invest in me.”

UConn women’s basketball ended their last game on SNY with a blowout 86-47 win over Butler on Saturday, Feb. 22. SNY will no longer televise the Huskies’ games from next season as the Big East signed a media rights deal with NBC Sports and TNT Sports, in addition to FOX Sports.
“We’re extremely grateful and we never want to take it for granted with all the hard work that you guys do”

“Thank you to SNY,” Bueckers said after the game. “Chelsea, Meg (Culmo), Allen (Bestwick), the whole crew, everybody back in the studio.
“The people who work the cameras, everybody who’s dedicated a lot of time, energy, effort to cover us and make us have this stage, this platform so people can watch us back home, wherever it is. We’re extremely grateful and we never want to take it for granted, all the hard work that you guys do. It’s been amazing.
“Five years for me but a lot longer time for everybody that’s been working. But we appreciate it. The hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.”

SNY became UConn’s broadcast partner in 2012 after the program left CPTV. During this period, the Huskies won four consecutive national titles in SNY’s first four years with the women’s basketball program. The network began with Breanna Stewart’s freshman year and will end in Buecker’s fifth season.
Meanwhile, Bueckers is most likely playing her final season with the Huskies and is already projected as the top pick for the 2025 WNBA Draft.
