In a running back class that is highlighted by names like Ashton Jeanty, Omarion Hampton, Kaleb Johnson, and Treyveon Henderson, Syracuse back Lequint Allen’s name is often lost in the shuffle. The former Orange star should be at the top of everyone’s minds, as I think he is the RB3 in this draft class.
Our Lequint Allen Scouting report tells you everything you need to know about one of the best running backs in this draft class.

Strengths
- Is fantastic in all three phases of being an NFL RB: Running, catching, and pass-blocking.
- Great frame, taller size, and holds a lot of muscle, making it hard to bring him down.

- Great play strength and consistently breaks tackles.
- Great vision, knows when to bounce runs outside, and hits holes decisively.

- Lacks agility in the open field and struggles to make people miss in space.
- Doesn’t accelerate at a high level leaving yards on the field sometimes.
LeQuint Allen’s NFL Draft Outlook
Lequint Allen should be one of the most heavily targeted running back prospects in this draft, as he is a complete player. His ability to run through contact and be physical should excite scouts, and his abilities to catch the pass and be consistent in pass protection should vault him into high second-round talks.
While Allen doesn’t have the top-end speed that some scouts look for, he makes up for it by being a decisive runner who hits holes hard and earns extra yards on every run with his relentless motor and toughness.

Allen’s production at Syracuse speaks for itself. In 2024, he had 1,021 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground, averaging 4.5 yards per carry. Allen was just as dangerous out of the backfield as a receiver, racking up 60 catches for 521 yards and 4 TDs.
- Ceiling: Starting every-down NFL running back
- Floor: Third down back who comes in to catch the ball and or pass protect.
- Comp: RB Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints
- Bottom Line: Whoever drafts Allen should expect immediate production and someone who can handle an every-down workload. Worst case scenario, you have a back who can come in and block for your QB on third downs, as well as be a reliable receiving threat out of the backfield.
- Draft Projection: Second Round
