Former East Carolina Pirates corner Shavon Revel could be a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, thanks to his freakish frame and athleticism. But first, his medicals have to check out. Revel tore his ACL in October and while he’s at the NFL Combine, he won’t compete, participating only in interviews and medical evaluations.
This Shavon Revel injury update looks at when the potential first-rounder is expected back on the field. Will he be ready for the 2025 NFL season?

Shavon Revel Eying Summer Return to Gridiron
Shavon Revel was having an awesome year for the East Carolina Pirates before he heard a pop in his knee while practicing in Week 4. His worst fears were confirmed when it was discovered that he’d torn his ACL and would require reconstructive surgery.
That’s not an easy surgery or recovery and it immediately cast doubts on his availability for next football season. But, according to a press release from his surgeon, Dr. Daniel Cooper, Revel should be good to go for his rookie year.

According to the memo, Revel can resume football activities such as cutting and lifting, as soon as he’s drafted and should be a full participant by the time training camp rolls around.
Shavon Revel Draft Outlook
Revel is one of the most intriguing prospects in the draft. He’s one of the tallest and longest corners in this class, with elite ball skills to boot.
He’s nearly a consensus first-rounder, despite the injury and his upside is tantalizing.
