Buckeye Fans Celebrating Julian Sayin and Jeremiah Smith

Buckeyes Network’s post on X featured the caption: “2 years of Julian Sayin to Jeremiah Smith. We are truly blessed. #GoBucks.” Accompanying the message were images of Sayin and Smith in similar poses. Fans had mixed reactions. Some were excited, while others looked ahead as one of the fans said, “On to the next.”

One of the fans even teased these players’ potential and nudged the future Heisman trophy prospect by saying, “Hello, Heisman.”

However, while the majority of fans were celebrating Smith and Sayin, one fan showed love to another brilliant talent on the team, saying, “Y’all sleeping on Tavien, man.” Tavien St. Clair, a five-star freshman quarterback, has already captured the attention of Ohio State fans. Some believe he could be the next big thing in Columbus.

With Sayin, St. Clair, and Lincoln Kienholz competing for the starting role, the Buckeyes’ quarterback battle is heating up.

A High-Stakes Quarterback Battle Going On at Ohio State

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day addressed the ongoing competition, telling WBNS-TV, “It’ll be a very fierce competition. Lincoln and Julian, and then Tavien. We’re excited to see those guys compete. We’ll chart everything, and everything will be a competition.” The battle for QB1 is wide open, and Sayin may have more to prove than some realize.

A recent report from Buckeye Scoop suggested that Sayin’s laid-back demeanor has drawn criticism from some inside the program. While some view his relaxed approach as confidence, others question whether he has the fire to lead the team.

With St. Clair and Kienholz pushing for the top spot, Sayin will need to prove he has what it takes to command Ohio State’s offense.

KEEP READING: Jeremiah Smith’s NIL Valuation

Beyond individual player battles, Ohio State’s ability to retain top talent has been a major talking point. The Buckeyes spent nearly $20 million in NIL deals to secure players like Smith, Quinshon Judkins, and Will Howard.

While some critics argue that the program’s success is built on money, others see it as a necessary strategy in the modern college football landscape. The investment paid off, as Ohio State secured a national championship, but it also raised questions about the sustainability of such spending.
