Sheduer Sanders has been drawing interest from several NFL teams, including the Las Vegas Raiders, even before the 2024 college football season began. His dad’s Coach Prime’s relationship with Raiders board member Tom Brady sparked theories about Sanders’ potential 2025 NFL Draft landing spot.
But the scenario has completely changed now, with the Raiders currently having the No. 6 overall pick and Shedeur is a hot QB prospect in the 2025 class. There are several QB-needy teams atop the board, but ESPN insider Field Yates believes Deion Sanders’ son will finally end up in Las Vegas.

Field Yates Raises Eyebrows With His Prediction for Shedeur Sanders
The Colorado QB has been quite impressive in the 2024 season with his dominant performance for the Buffaloes. He recorded 4,134 passing yards and 37 touchdowns, with a completion rate of 74% while conceding only 10 interceptions.
Similarly, he helped the program punch a postseason Bowl game ticket for the first time since 2020 and wrapped up the season with a 9-4 record. All these achievements made him rank on top, with scouts projecting him as a franchise quarterback from teams willing to bet on him.
On Wednesday, Feb. 12, ESPN NFL Draft analyst Field Yates dropped his mock draft, in which he had Shedeur going No. 6 to the Raiders.
“This is a guy who’s at his best operating from the pocket. He’s the best pure pocket passer in this year’s draft, a great combination of both accuracy and ball placement. There’s touch, there’s anticipation. He understands how to make area throws as well,” Yates says of Sanders.

“We’ll see whether the Raiders feel the need to try to move up the board to secure a quarterback, but in this scenario, they can land the best pure passer in the draft right at No. 6. This season, Sanders trailed only Ward in touchdown passes (37) and was fourth in the FBS in passing yards (4,134). He throws with touch and precision when given time and space in the pocket.”
“Las Vegas hired Pete Carroll as its new coach, and now it needs to stop the revolving door at QB with a long-term fix. Jimmy Garoppolo wasn’t the answer. Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell couldn’t take hold of the job. But Sanders could quickly improve this situation,” he added.

This is not unrealistic, but the Raiders’ chances of pouncing on Shedeur seem unlikely.
There are several teams that need a quarterback, like the Tennessee Titans and New York Giants, already in the top 3, hoping to get a future signal-caller. Unless there is a big gamble of pick trades happening, Sanders’ Las Vegas transition is still a far-fetched idea.
