This season opener, scheduled for Aug. 23, will be part of the famous Aer Lingus College Football Classic, which features teams playing in the “Emerald Isle.”
After leading the Cyclones to a successful 2024 season, including an outstanding victory over the Miami Hurricanes in the Pop-Tarts Bowl, Becht has emerged as a key element of Iowa State’s offense. His leadership and aggressive playstyle have made him one of the Big 12’s most entertaining quarterbacks, and he’s looking to repeat the success.
