Florida State Lands Legacy DB Antonio Cromartie Jr.
Cromartie scheduled an official visit on Jan. 10, 2025. He’s the son of former standout cornerback Antonio Cromartie Sr., who played with the ‘noles from 2003 to 2005.
Cromartie Sr. played for Florida State before entering the NFL and enjoying a successful professional career.
He recorded a breakout season in 2007, during which he led the NFL with 10 interceptions and recorded the longest play ever — a 109-yard missed field goal return touchdown.
Every fan knew Cromartie Sr. for his athleticism, long speed, and ball-hawking skills. He expressed his joy in seeing his son follow in his footsteps on X, posting, “Let’s gooo!! Proud Dad.”
Cromartie Jr. had a successful senior season playing as a defensive back, generating 85 tackles, four forced fumbles, four pass breakups, and an interception.

Standing at 5’11”, 170 pounds, Cromartie was rated as a three-star player by 247Sports’ Composite, and he received other offers from FCS-level programs UT-Martin, Wofford, and South Missouri State.
Defensive backs coach Pat Surtain praised Cromartie Jr. and envisions him contributing in diverse roles on the team due to his versatility.
