Jalen Milroe Fires Back at Talk of Switching Positions Ahead of 2025 NFL Draft
Milroe stood his ground to the idea of switching positions during an interview with the Pro Football Talk by saying, “You don’t ask a Zebra to be a dog.”
Milroe has been criticized for passing inconsistency thanks to 20 career interceptions and accuracy issues, especially during the Senior Bowl competitions. These drawbacks have caused many to question his readiness as a QB in the NFL.
Under center at Alabama in 2024, Milroe put up 2,844 passing yards with 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also recorded 726 yards with 20 touchdowns with his legs in his final campaign with the Crimson Tide.
As a traditional pro QB, Milroe lags behind other quarterbacks at the Senior Bowl, and critiques of his skills are all over, especially on social media.
Despite his performance in the Senior Bowl, few quarterbacks can do what Milroe does on the field. He has an advantage in that he is naturally a runner, and his acceleration speed on the field makes him a perfect threat to defenders.
He has the advantage of arm strength, as well, which he uses to spray passes all over the field.
