Earlier in the week, the sports video game development company EA Sports announced that College Football 26 was in the works and would be released later this summer. As a result, football fans on social media have started discussing what they expect.
Last year marked the first time EA Sports released a video game (College Football 25) showcasing college football since the company released NCAA Football 14 in 2013. By all accounts, the game was a success and drew the interest of both college and NFL fans alike. However, as with any game, there are groups of the fan base who want this year’s edition of the game to be improved and better to play.

Football analyst Ari Meirov broke the news about the announcement on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

In response, one user detailed how they hoped that this year’s game featured various in-game and overall improvements over last year’s version.
“I hope they actually improve it. 25 is great but obviously a lot of room for growth. better dynasty mode please. more interactive road to glory. PLS,” they stated.

However, one individual was not optimistic about the chances of the newest game being much different than College Football 25.

Finally, one social media user gave a suggestion about how to generate the most interest about the game.
They outlined their belief that the company should follow a PGA Golf video game model, one that does not release a new game every year.
“The day they learn to treat these games like the PGA games, they’ll be so much better. Rather than releasing a new version with nothing improved each year, improve the game over the course of seasons and then drop a new one when you’ve made a newer version with cool feats,” they stated.

College Football 26 Release Date
As previously stated, the game is expected to be released during the summer months.
Though some believe improvements are needed, there is no question that fans are interested in what the final product will look like come the time of the release and are excited that another edition of the EA Sports College Football series is set to be released later this year.
