A picture of Nick Saban with social media star Sydney Thomas on social media went viral and created discussions among all.
Thomas, renowned for being a ring girl at the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight, also shared in a podcast that an SEC college football coach had sent her a direct message without revealing the real identity of the person. The timing of when this viral post circulated has been questioned.
Sydney Thomas Links With Nick Saban on the Links
Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin joined the fun ride, tweeting, “We have the answer. RTR,” adding more comedy to the situation.

However, the rumor seems to be fake because Saban is not available on X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, or TikTok. And most importantly, Thomas is a student at the University of Alabama and a big fan of Saban.
Moreover, Ole Miss head coach Kiffin also worked under Saban at Alabama from 2014 to 2016 as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He enjoys trolling on social media and could be poking fun at his former boss.
Furthermore, recently, Thomas made a shocking statement when she revealed on a podcast that an SEC college football coach had sent her a direct message. Sadly, she didn’t reveal the name of the person, leaving people to assume who it is.
Did Lane Kiffin DM Sydney Thomas? No Confirmation Yet
Kiffin’s response came after a screenshot revealed or suggested he may be the one who sent a DM to Thomas. The screenshot seems to have circulated from the Snapchat of Thomas’ friend, Maddy Muir.
Even though nothing is officially confirmed, it clearly states one thing: Thomas and Muir are friends and both attend the University of Alabama. The authenticity of the screenshot is still in question, but the “RTR” in the DM and the reply to the Thomas-Saban picture do match.
So, is Kiffin stating that he was the one to send the DM? Well, that’s up for a good discussion. But one thing is certain: He knows how to get those extra eyeballs on social media.
