The Baltimore Ravens are gearing up for a Super Bowl run behind their two-time MVP quarterback, Lamar Jackson. The former first-rounder has been outrageously good again this year and could be on his way to his third MVP award.

Lamar Jackson Explodes Onto the Scene as a Freshman at Louisville
On Feb. 4, 2015, Jackson announced his decision to sign with Louisville. By August of that year, he had been named the starting quarterback as a freshman.
His freshman year was nothing short of extraordinary as Jackson showed off just how dangerous he could be as a dual-threat, excelling through both the air and on the ground.

But Jackson was just getting started, and no one could have predicted just how much the young quarterback would improve into his sophomore season.

Jackson Wins the Heisman Trophy as a Sophomore
Jackson’s sophomore campaign would go down as one of the single greatest quarterback seasons of all time.
The Louisville standout was a dynamic playmaker, showing major improvement as a passer and putting up even better numbers on the ground.
He led Louisville to a 9-3 season, almost defeating Deshaun Watson and the Clemson Tigers. But despite not making a playoff appearance, Jackson would win a plethora of awards, including being named the youngest Heisman Trophy winner ever.
By the end of the 2016 season, Jackson had won the Heisman Trophy Winner, Associated Press Player of the Year, Walter Camp Award, Maxwell Award, Sporting News Player of the Year and was named a unanimous All-American, ACC Player of the Year, and ACC Offensive Player of the Year.

Jackson Continues His Success Into His Junior Year
Following his Heisman campaign, Jackson only continued to excel on the football field, knowing he’d be draft-eligible by season’s end. He led Louisville to an 8-4 season in his junior year and finished third in Heisman Trophy voting.
With the NFL Draft ahead, Jackson’s career at Louisville was coming to a close. He would finish as the most prolific quarterback in Louisville history. He finished fifth in all-time passing and first in all-time rushing and, to this day, is the only Cardinal to ever hoist the Heisman Trophy.
