Former Fresno State Bulldogs receiver Davante Adams didn’t just make headlines with his high-profile 2024 move from the Las Vegas Raiders to the New York Jets. No, the real buzz is about his Nevada home, which many claim has a Taco Bell.
These whispers began right after the trade announcement when Taco Bell tweeted a listing of a stunning eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom mansion in Las Vegas, complete with its own private Taco Bell outpost.
Why Did People Assume a Taco Bell Mansion Belonged to Davante Adams?
The home listing read, “Imagine waking up to the smell of crunch wraps every single morning. Welcome to your new dream home, cause guess what — you finally do have Taco Bell at home.
“This property boasts a luxurious 8 bed, 10 bath, and a fully functioning Taco Bell, fire sauce packets will come in every drawer. The house comes equipped with a full-time employee, Todd, who will tend to your every Taco Bell need. Come home, come hungry.”
However, the listing did not have the property’s location and price.
Adams is a longtime Taco Bell spokesperson and appears in their ads, which air during ESPN’s coverage of the College Football Playoff. In a 2024 ad, he makes a deal with the company, wherein he wants them to install a restaurant in his home. In another ad, he requests a second Taco Bell outpost on his property, which the aforementioned Todd handles.
Is Adams Really Living the Dream With a Fast-Food Joint in His Backyard?
No, it appears the fake Taco Bell home listing was created using imagery from the former Fresno State receiver’s ad campaign. However, people still went wild about the possibility of Adams having a fast-food establishment in his house.
The rumors were so intense that Adams was asked about them in the October 15, 2024, interview with Pat McAfee.
In two seasons with the Bulldogs, Adams established himself as one of the most dangerous wide receivers in the nation. During the 2012 campaign, he led the Mountain West with 1,312 yards and 14 touchdowns before leading the entire nation with 131 receptions and 24 touchdowns during a breakout 2013 campaign.
His performances at Fresno State led to Adams becoming a second-round pick of the Green Bay Packers, but sadly, never led to him having a Taco Bell installed into his own home.
