‘Warming up for Next Year!’ – NFL Fans Rejoice as Colorado Star Shedeur Sanders and Giants WR Malik Nabers Link Up in NYC

While in New York, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders was seen playing catch with New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers, which got fans talking.

Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders was in New York this weekend to support teammate Travis Hunter at the Heisman Trophy ceremony. While in New York, Sanders was spotted playing a friendly game of catch with New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers.

Rumors of Sanders potentially joining the Giants through the 2025 NFL Draft have circulated, and this short scene surely had fans buzzing.

Fans React to Viral Video of Shedeur Sanders and Malik Nabers Playing Catch

Sanders and Nabers playing for the same team would be sensational. On Saturday, fans got a glimpse of what that might look like as Sanders threw what some fans saw as the first of many passes to Nabers.

Sanders may end up being the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and the Giants — who are in serious need of a quarterback — may be the ones holding the card.

Needless to say, Nabers briefly linking up with Sanders was enough for fans to start imagining a future with the Colorado QB in New York.

One fan tweeted, “Love seeing Shedeur and Malik connecting in the city, future football magic?”

Another tweeted, “Shedeur is going number 1 overall so it’s either LVR or NYG. I think he’s cool with either..but Nabers – Shadeur combo would be nasty.”

Another fan commented, “Warming up for next year!”

Sanders ranks as CFN’s No. 1 QB for the 2025 NFL Draft.

    What About Travis Hunter?

Hunter has put up the best performances of his career and will no doubt be an excellent addition to any NFL team.

Nabers himself has praised Hunter’s skills, referring to him as the “best player in college football.” And it wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine both players on the same team.

Should the Giants draft Hunter, they would have two highly skilled receivers on their roster. Hunter, notorious for his status as a two-way star, could also play defense for the Giants.

New York, however, has a glaring quarterback problem, with Daniel Jones having been a less-than-ideal fit for the role. The Giants released Jones earlier this season, but his replacements — Drew Lock and Tommy DeVito — are unsurprisingly struggling to make an impact.

So, while Hunter would be a great addition to the Giants’ roster, Sanders would be the more sensible pick for New York. Nevertheless, the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner will feel quite comfortable heading into the draft with his stock at an all-time high.
