    Charlotte Injury Report

Though RB CJ Stokes is out for the year, the biggest bit of news is WR Justin Olson continues to be hobbled by a leg injury. Olson is considered questionable at best as he hasn’t played since Week 2 against North Carolina. The Middle Tennessee transfer has logged just two catches after hauling in 42 receptions and 440 yards a year ago with the Blue Raiders.

    Charlotte Draft Prospects

The Charlotte draft prospects begin on offense with former Iowa State RB Cartevious Norton headlining the group in the backfield. Their defensive prospects, however, are more numerous.

Charlotte RB Cartevious Norton Draft Profile

Norton ran the rock for almost identical figures during his time at Iowa State and has already set career-highs in a split-backfield role with Charlotte. He’s found his groove as the season has gone along and presents a long-shot to be drafted at this point, but has plenty of elusiveness and balance through contact to warrant a shot in the NFL once that time comes.

2026 NFL Draft Projection: Priority UDFA

Charlotte WR O’Mega Blake Draft Profile

A well-rounded receiver with plenty of skills along the route tree, O’Mega Blake has set career-highs in most major receiving categories in Year 1 with the 49ers. A former South Carolina transfer, Blake has an NFL pedigree and a next-level frame.

He’s got sure hands but may lack top-end traits of an NFL WR.

    2025 NFL Draft Projection: UDFA

Charlotte TE Colin Weber Draft Profile

Colin Weber doesn’t get enough credit, mainly because he has yet to score a collegiate touchdown with Charlotte. However, he’s a well-rounded tight end capable of making plays on the ground with his run-blocking and a more than adequate pass protector. A lifetime 10.0-plus-yard receiver, Weber is an NFL Draft sleeper.

2025 NFL Draft Projection: Round 7/Priority UDFA

Charlotte OG Jordan Spasojevic-Moko Draft Profile

A former three-year player with Texas A&M, Jordan Spasojevic-Moko has made the most of his opportunities with Charlotte in 2024. At 6’6″ and 340 pounds, Spasojevic-Moko has shown he can move laterally well enough to warrant a look at the next level (albeit a long shot) and has the chops in pass protection to stand up against strong interior defenders all the same.

    2025 NFL Draft Projection: UDFA

Charlotte OG Mitchell Mayes Draft Profile

After four years of spot duty with Clemson, Mitchell Mayes has started every game for Charlotte in 2024 and showcased some important improvements in his game in doing so. Like his fellow Power Five transfer guard Spasojevic-Moko, Mayes has shown he can move well in both facets and at least deserves a shot at making the 53-man roster in the NFL next fall.

    2025 NFL Draft Projection: UDFA

Charlotte DE Demon Clowney Draft Profile

With a name like Demon Clowney, it’s fair to say we all rooted for the cousin of former No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney to blow up at the college level. However, after three years at Ole Miss and a struggling season in 2024, Demon’s NFL Draft prospects are trending downward. At his best, he has high-end potential in strictly pass-rushing situations and likely gets a show because of his recruiting and family pedigree.

2025 NFL Draft Projection: Round 7

Charlotte CB Dontae Balfour Draft Profile

At 6’2″ and 185 pounds, Dontae Balfour has the size and speed combination that NFL GMs are starting to crave on the outside. Balfour exploded onto the scene with Charlotte in 2023, after spending two years at North Carolina in spot duty with the Tar Heels. This season, he’s shown the same abilities to lock down in coverage and limit even the simplest of completions.

2025 NFL Draft Projection: Rounds 5-7

Charlotte CB Elijah Culp Draft Profile

Former Austin Peay and Troy cornerback Elijah Culp has played arguably his best football in 2024 with Charlotte. Playing opposite Balfour has seen a bevy of targets come Culp’s way, and he’s done a terrific job of playing his defenders when in man coverage. Culp projects as a nickel defensive back on passing downs in the NFL, lowering his value just a bit.

2025 NFL Draft Projection: Priority UDFA

Charlotte SAF Al’Ma’Hi Ali Draft Profile

A hard-hitting safety who has taken the long road in college is finally making his name known on the big stage. Al-Ma’Hi Ali started his career at Old Dominion before a year at St. Francis en route to starting the last two years with Charlotte. He’s improved each year with the 49ers, and though he lacks top-end athletic traits, he has shown he can be a vital member in coverage situations.
