The Tennessee Volunteers play NC State in a neutral site contest in Charlotte, N.C., in one of the top games of Week 2. The Volunteers have high hopes for a 2024 season that includes a 12-team College Football Playoff.
While the Volunteers dismantled an overmatched Chattanooga squad in Week 1, the season essentially starts in Week 2 with a ranked matchup against the upstart Wolfpack, who have their own aspirations of postseason play.
Led by quarterback Nico Iamaleava, Tennessee’s high-powered offense could be the key in this one, but NC State has a strong group of skill position players that could cause the Volunteer defense issues.
Here’s how to watch or listen to the Tennessee game in Week 2.

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel seemingly has Tennessee back on track after years mired in mediocrity. The fourth-year Tennessee coach has also found his newest quarterback, as it would seem that Iamaleava has all the tools to be the next superstar quarterback after Hendon Hooker and Joe Milton III led the Volunteers over the past few years.
Iamaleava, a former five-star recruit, served last year as the primary backup, before taking over as the starter this year.
They’ll clash with an NC State team that has a quarterback with a very different path to college football stardom. Grayson McCall wasn’t highly recruited but was a five-year starter at Coastal Carolina before transferring to NC State this offseason. He’ll look to use his legs as equalizers, as well as the strong group of skill players the Wolfpack boast.
The Tennessee Volunteers will take on the Wolfpack in Charlotte on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. ET.
