Are There College Football Games Today? Breaking Down the Week 0 Schedule

Florida State and Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland, highlight the first slate of games for the 2024 college football season.

Did you hear that? I think it was the sound of a roaring crowd with an accompanying fight song. Did you smell that? I think it was the scent of smoked meats from a charcoal grill in the parking lot.

That’s right. College football games are back!

Although most programs won’t play until next week, the 2024 college football season has arrived with Week 0.

When Are the College Football Games in Week 0?

Notable matchups this weekend include the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin, Ireland, between the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the No. 10 Florida State Seminoles, as well as the Montana State Bobcats out of the FCS who are favored by double digits while paying a visit to Albuquerque, N.M., to take on the New Mexico Lobos.

Bronco Mendenhall (New Mexico) will not be the only FBS new hire wearing an updated wardrobe this weekend as Nevada’s Jeff Choate, formerly of Montana State, will patrol the sidelines for the first time at the helm of the Wolf Pack.
