EA Sports College Football 25 has taken the sports video game world by storm, driving console purchases and giving even amateur gamers a sense of excitement and nostalgia. With the game has come reinvented gameplay and a few difficulties.
One of those is the revamped passing mechanics, with which some players are having trouble making certain throws, including a struggle to throw lob or touch passes.
Throwing a Lob Pass in EA Sports College Football 25
To make sure we’re on the same page, a lob pass is a high, arcing throw that is designed to go over defenders, usually on a deep route like a “go.”
The revamped passing makes this a bit different, but still easy.

First, decide which receiver to throw to.
Here, we’ll assume this is a deep ball, over the top of the defense. Tap the receiver button, but don’t hold it. The longer you hold the button, the lower the trajectory of the throw.
So, if you hold the button when attempting a deep throw, the ball is likely to be thrown at the defender.
The key here, as with other types of throw, is to use the left stick to angle the throw in the direction you’d like it to go. If you don’t use the left stick to lead the receiver, it’s very likely to be underthrown.
Instead, push the left stick forward to lead your receiver and let him run under it. By doing this and tapping the receiver button, you should be able to throw a perfect go route.
This method is gradient, not “either, or,” so you can put as little air or as much air as you’d like by simply holding the button for a shorter or longer duration. Practice this and see how much more you’re able to do as a quarterback in EA Sports College Football 25.
