Worst Teams In EA Sports College Football 25 or Are They the Best Teams to Start a Dynasty With?

The worst teams in EA Sports College Football may surprise you, especially those lowly-rated offenses and defenses on each side of the ball.

Let’s face it, anytime you have to put a ranking or rating system to a group of teams or players, you’re bound to get some folks upset with you. The fine people at EA Sports came up with a comprehensive rating system and tried to accurately replicate the ratings for all 134 FBS teams in college football.

So, who were the worst teams ranked in the game?

Look, we’ll get to the bottom of the list, and some of them are obvious, but there’s a major caveat in this ranking system: These teams at the bottom are the most fun to play with in specific game modes. There’s room for all 134 teams in the game and more than one way to enjoy the action.

As we said, each team has a purpose in this game, and you’d be wise to test yourself by taking the WarHawks from Louisiana-Monroe in a dynasty to really challenge yourself. The WarHawks have the worst offense in the game as well, from a rating perspective.

Speaking of those worst offenses, let’s go there next.

Worst Offense Ratings in EA Sports College Football 25

    1) UL-Monroe (Offense Rating: 60)
    2) Kennesaw State (Offense Rating: 60)
    3) UTEP (Offense Rating: 64)
    4) Buffalo (Offense Rating: 64)
    5) Ball State (Offense Rating: 66)
    6) Air Force (Offense Rating: 66)
    7) Ohio (Offense Rating: 66)
    8) Navy (Offense Rating: 66)
    9) Eastern Michigan (Offense Rating: 67)
    10) New Mexico (Offense Rating: 67)
    11) Georgia State (Offense Rating: 67)
    12) Temple (Offense Rating: 67)
    13) Northern Illinois (Offense Rating: 67)
    14) Old Dominion (Offense Rating: 67)
    15) Akron (Offense Rating: 69)
    16) Coastal Carolina (Offense Rating: 69)
    17) Army (Offense Rating: 69)
    18) New Mexico State (Offense Rating: 69)
    19) Marshall (Offense Rating: 69)
    20) Central Michigan (Offense Rating: 69)
    21) La Tech (Offense Rating: 69)
    22) UMass (Offense Rating: 69)

Each of those teams have an offensive rating below 70 and struggle mightily on the road in hostile environments. But there are some nice caveats.

Central Michigan has Bert Emmanuel. Navy has the option. Buffalo’s offensive line is formidable. Temple has a weapon in Dante Wright.

Again, play with these teams in dynasty mode and really challenge yourself. Just be wary of playing with the worst defenses.

Worst Defense Ratings in EA Sports College Football 25

    1) Ball State (Defense Rating: 60)
    2) UL-Monroe (Defense Rating: 62)
    3) Eastern Michigan (Defense Rating: 62)
    4) UTEP (Defense Rating: 64)
    5) Air Force (Defense Rating: 64)
    6) Northern Illinois (Defense Rating: 64)
    7) Coastal Carolina (Defense Rating: 64)
    8) San Jose State (Defense Rating: 64)
    9) JMU (Defense Rating: 64)
    10) Temple (Defense Rating: 66)
    11) Georgia Southern (Defense Rating: 66)
    12) Ohio (Defense Rating: 68)
    13) Georgia State (Defense Rating: 68)
    14) Akron (Defense Rating: 68)
    15) Army (Defense Rating: 68)
    16) New Mexico State (Defense Rating: 68)
    17) Marshall (Defense Rating: 68)
    18) Kent State (Defense Rating: 68)
    19) Troy (Defense Rating: 68)
    20) Tulsa (Defense Rating: 68)

As you can see, there are fewer ‘worst’ defenses with ratings below 70 on the defensive side of the ball. That being said, the worst defense is clearly the Cardinals from Ball State, who lost a lot of talent this offseason.

The biggest surprises on the lowest-rated defenses are the ‘new’ Sun Belt powers of JMU and Coastal Carolina. Similarly, the power of Jon Sumrall is evident with Troy’s defensive rating of just 68 following Sumrall’s departure to Tulane.

Go out there, though, and challenge yourself in the game. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
