    From Alabama to Maryland, quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa cemented his legacy in college football history with owning multiple records.

    Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa set the Big Ten on fire by breaking records for the school and the conference for four years.

    While everyone knows his brother, Tua, in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins, Taulia has been able to make a name for himself and establish his ability to play the position.

    His numbers reflect his success with the Terrapins.

    Taulia Tagovailoa Opens College Career at Alabama

    In his freshman year in college, Tagovailoa followed in his brother’s footsteps by attending Alabama. He spent the season on the bench but did see game action throughout the year in a relief role.

    Tagovailoa finished the season completing nine of 12 passes for 100 yards. After the season, he would transfer to Maryland for a chance to start.

    This would be the breakout season for Tagovailoa as this would be his best season statistically in college. The team would also see success, making their first bowl game since 2016 and the first winning season since 2014.

    Maryland went 7-6 on the year beating Virginia Tech in the Pinstripe Bowl 54-10.

    Tagovailoa threw for 3,860 yards with 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors and was named MVP of the bowl game.

    Maryland school records Tagovailoa broke in 2021 included single-season passing yards, single-season completions, single-season completion percentage, single-season touchdowns, and since-season 300-yard passing games with seven.
