Former USC Trojans running back Raleek Brown commits to transferring to Arizona State. 247Sports’ Greg Biggins reports Brown announced his intentions to attend Arizona State to play for the Sun Devils in the 2024 season.
Raleek Brown Transfers to Arizona State
Brown spent his first two seasons in college at USC, where he played running back during his freshman season and converted to wide receiver this year.
Last season, he ran the ball 42 times for 227 yards and three touchdowns while adding 16 catches for 175 yards and three more scores. He played for some special teams as well returning 24 kickoffs for an average of 21.5 yards per return.

This season, he moved to wide receiver after only playing two games with the Trojans, recording just 34 total yards and one touchdown. He made the decision earlier in the season to redshirt for the year.
Just three weeks ago, he made the decision to enter the transfer portal. Some schools that reportedly reached out to Brown included Kentucky and Colorado. Brown told On3 that at least 20 schools reached out to him since he joined the transfer portal.
Brown will be expected to compete with Cameron Skattebo and DeCarlos Brooks for the starting running back job if he returns to his original position. Skattebo is Arizona State’s leading rusher this season, with 783 yards and nine touchdowns.
If the Sun Devils decide to place him at wide receiver, it will be another position of need for them. Eljhah Badger is their leading receiver with 713 yards and three touchdowns in 2023.
With an offense that is lacking in the big play department, Brown brings the Sun Devils some much-needed firepower and speed to their offense. Look for Arizona State to move him around in the offense whether it’s running or catching.
