“Yeah Hes Leaving”: Fans React As Insider Reveals Lane Kiffin’s Plans To Address Florida Job Rumors With Ole Miss Players

After the Florida Gators pulled the plug and fired Billy Napier on October 19th, one of the loudest names that made all the potential candidates’ lists was Lane Kiffin’s, who is currently in his 6th year with the program, with an overall record of 50-19.

College football insider, Molly McGrath, reported that Kiffin told her that while he usually doesn’t address these kinds of coaching rumors during the season, as there is so much more football to play and bigger things to focus on, he’s going to do things differently this time and address the Florida coaching rumours with the team in the meeting today.

He further said that he is going to tell the players that this is what happens when they win, which is a compliment to the entire staff, the players and the program.

The reason why Kiffin is willing to address the situation is that there are so many new players on the team this year who haven’t dealt with it before.

“Yeah hes leaving. Florida is lucky to get a head coach who has accomplished absolutely nothing his entire career!.” one fan predicted.

“Mississippi is a sh*thole and an irrelevant football program playing in a high school stadium. He’s as good as gone. He should announce he’s leaving before OU kicks his a** bad enough to lose his chance at getting out of Mississippi.” another fan added.

“Lane gonna tell them “don’t worry I’m not leaving, I’m leveraging a new contract extension from Ole Miss”. another fan made a prediction about Kiffin’s intentions.

“Look, don’t think of it as I’m leaving you guys. If you’re not going to the nfl this draft and you were projected to start next season… you’re coming with me. I’m not leaving you guys. We are leaving here together.” Another fan sarcastically said.

“Ole Miss fans actually think this is a good sign for them…as if he wouldn’t have just said no already if he wasn’t interested lol.” another fan commented.

“He did this in 2022 with auburn job. Let’s me know he’s going to weigh all options. No reason for him to turn anything down yet. Give himself some leverage with anyone. The NY Giants could offer him by the time OM is done playing. But he’s not 100% in any direction I guess.” another fan recalled and stated.

Paul Finebaum Drops Major Praise for Potential Lane Kiffin-Florida Union

Paul Finebaum and Lane Kiffin have had a bit of an on-off relationship as they both have playfully taken subtle shots at each other at different points in time.

However, as the Kiffin to Florida conversation grows day by day, Finebaum drops a massive claim about how things would go if the Ole Miss head coach were to actually jump ship.

Finebaum said on “The Matt Barrie Show” that if Kiffin decides to go to Florida, he could very well win a national championship there.

He further added that it’s currently a tug of war for Kiffin. While he really likes the place he is at currently, he is a fierce competitor and is bound to wonder whether he can do better than he did last year.

The ESPN analyst concluded that while Ole Miss is good, they’re not quite to “that degree”, and if the team misses making it to the playoffs this year, the probability of Kiffin leaving becomes much higher.
