George Kittle has long been one of the most entertaining players in football, both on and off the field. The San Francisco 49ers tight end is known for his infectious energy and his love for the game. He is also recognized as the NFL’s most complete tight ends.
With National Tight Ends Day approaching, celebrations around the position are already starting, especially in the Kittle household. Claire Kittle, George’s wife, recently shared a fun moment on her Instagram story.
She reposted a clip of her husband mic’d up during a game against the Kansas City Chiefs. In the video, Kittle could be heard having a playful exchange with defensive tackle Chris Jones. Claire added a light-hearted caption to her repost, calling it her “favorite holiday.”
“Our favorite holiday is this weekend!!!!!!” Claire WROTE.

It was a nod to the upcoming Tight Ends Day that falls on October 26, when the 49ers will face the Houston Texans. National Tight Ends Day has become a tradition in recent years, largely because of Kittle himself, who helped turn the idea into a league-wide celebration.

Each year, he embraces the occasion, using it to highlight the impact of tight ends across the NFL. As the 49ers prepare for their matchup with Houston, Kittle remains a central figure for San Francisco’s offense.
Whether making tough catches over the middle or paving the way for the run game, he continues to set the standard at his position.
George Kittle Is All Praise for Kyle Shanahan
The 49ers have been on a great run this season. They started the season with three consecutive wins. They’re fresh off a win against the Falcons last week. Overall, the 49ers have a 5-2 record this season and are leading the NFC West chart.
Ahead of the Texans’ matchup, Kittle is all praise for his head coach, Kyle Shanahan. As per Vic Tafur of The Athletic, Kittle heaped praise on the coach.
“Coach Shanahan’s a hell of a head football coach,” Kittle said. “I missed five games. Nick Bosa is on IR, Fred Warner is on IR, Brock Purdy hasn’t really played this year. Our starting receiver (Aiyuk) has been out since last year with an ACL, who’s hopefully back soon. We’ve just had guys not being able to play.”
“And the fact that Coach Shanahan is able to come up with really great game plans week in and week out, and find ways to inspire the boys to go out there and fly around and hit people in the face, he’s really, really good at what he does,” he added.
The Texans have had their fair share of struggles this season. They currently have a 2-4 record and are third in the AFC South.
