Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier was arrested on Thursday morning as part of a sweeping FBI investigation into illegal sports betting. Former NFL star Le’Veon Bell couldn’t resist weighing in with a brutally honest take on the situation .
Le’Veon Bell, the former Pittsburgh Steelers running back and the former teammate of Antonio Brown, took to X to comment on a footage showing Rozier’s questionable on-court decisions. He reacted to a clip of Rozier’s gameplay stating:

The clip Bell responded to showed Rozier making seemingly careless passes and turnovers, giving the ball away to opponents with little resistance. The developing scandal is not just limited to NBA’s jurisdiction and now carries the weight of federal charges.

ESPN Senior NBA insider Shams Charania broke the news that Rozier’s arrest came as part of a major gambling probe led by the Eastern District of New York. FBI Director Kash Patel also held a press conference pertaining to this scandal, with multiple arrests stemming from the investigation.
Terry Rozier, Chauncey Billups Arrested In Connection To NBA Gambling Scandal
Rozier allegedly manipulated his performance on purpose whilst giving inside information to sports bettors. One of the most serious accusations in this scandal is related to a 2023 game when Rozier was still playing for the Charlotte Hornets. According to investigators, Rozier allegedly faked an injury to exit the game early, and tipped his associates about his departure so they could place bets.

Rozier wasn’t alone in facing charges. Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups and former Cleveland Cavaliers guard Damon Jones were also named in indictments and were subsequently arrested in connection to mafia-linked illegal poker and sports betting operations.
