Running back D’Andre Swift is in his second season with the Chicago Bears and is on the trend of having a more productive season than a year ago.
Last year, Swift rushed for 959 yards but averaged just 3.8 yards per carry, which was the lowest of his career. So far this season, Swift has been averaging 4.7 yards per carry, and has already gained 585 yards from scrimmage while scoring four total touchdowns. He’s been instrumental to the Bears’ 4-2 start.
What Happened to D’Andre Swift?
D’Andre Swift didn’t suffer an injury, but he seems to have some nagging pain in his groin. As a result, he was limited in the team’s practice last Thursday and Friday and was ruled questionable for the team’s game against the New Orleans Saints. He ultimately played, but his status for Week 8 could be in jeaopardy.

Will D’Andre Swift Play This Week?
As of right now, D’Andre Swift is questionable to play this Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. He did not practice yesterday but he did make his return back to the practice field today in limited fashion.
DJ Moore and D’Andre Swift limited today after not practicing yesterday.
Braxton Jones must’ve gotten hurt in practice yesterday as he was limited then and DNP today.
Tyrique Stevenson, Cole Kmet and Roschon Johnson also DNP.

This shouldn’t be a surprise as Swift ended up playing last week, despite being questionable. Swift’s status in practice over the next 48 hours should give more of a sign of whether or not he will play Sunday vs. the Ravens.
D’Andre Swift Fantasy Outlook
If D’Andre Swift can stay healthy and play the remainder of the season, he has a chance to be one of the more productive running backs in fantasy football. He’s currently on pace to rush for 1,187 yards and nine touchdowns while being on pace for 470 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns.

Fantasypros.com has Swift projected to finish in the range of being 17-28 for fantasy. This suggests he’d be a solid RB2 option or flex option in most leagues.
