The National Football League announced rapper Bad Bunny as its Super Bowl halftime performer for the 2025 season.
This led to a debate among fans and analysts. While some thought it would help the NFL’s goal to make the game global, as Bad Bunny mostly sings Spanish songs, others thought it would take the essence of the Super Bowl halftime away, even petitioning for the league to change its decision and get someone else to perform.
However, according to Roger Goodell’s latest statement, the league is nowhere near considering canning Bad Bunny from the gig. Goodell said they arrived at the decision after carefully thinking about it, reaffirming his confidence in Bad Bunny to make it a great show, further predicting it to be a “united moment,” which drew flak from fans.
“We’re confident it’s going to be a great show. He understands the platform that he’s on, and I think it’s going to be exciting and a united moment.”

“We will be tuning into Turning Points own halftime show!! None of you liberal maggots will force me to watch a bunny sing in Spanish of all languages. This is anti-America and I will be calling my local politician and voicing my desire to BAN THE SUPER BOWL,” one fan expressed frustration.
“I don’t understand this selection. ‘United moment’ The guy has been very outspoken about hating the USA and you reward him by paying him millions to perform during the largest sporting event in our country. That’s the opposite,” another fan added.
“Roger, I’m sorry to tell you but the majority of America will be tuning into the Turning point halftime show. I’m sure Patrick Mahomes will be watching the Turning Point halftime show from the locker room on his phone also,” another fan predicted.
“Why is Goodell trying to globalize American football? 99% of the world doesn’t like or at best doesn’t care about the nfl. Feels like they’re catering to the crowd that doesn’t care while the crowd that does care is pretty upset. Weird move,” another fan questioned.
“Half the country hates it how will that unify?” another fan stated.
“Unite? Not the word I’d use,” another fan added.
Jason Whitlock Boldly Criticizes Bad Bunny As Super Bowl Halftime Performer Choice
Jason Whitlock was among the analysts who bluntly expressed their frustration with the NFL’s decision to choose Bad Bunny as the Super Bowl halftime performer. In a video he posted three weeks ago, soon after the announcement, he was seen connecting the dots between the NFL’s political agenda and Bad Bunny’s selection.
Whitlock claimed that this decision came as a response to “Maga, and Trump and Charlie Kirk and a christian revival and America first agenda.”
