$60M Worth Deion Sanders Gets 100% Real on Shohei Ohtani’s ‘Unfathomable’ World Series Run in 2025

Deion Sanders was known as Prime Time during his football career, but he’s not afraid to admit that someone else was Prime Time last week: Shohei Ohtani. The Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher and designated hitter had one, if not the best, ever MLB outing in the fourth game of the NLCS Championship Series against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Dodgers swept the Brewers in four games, revalidating their status as the preeminent MLB franchise in 2020s baseball. During the fourth and final game of the series, Ohtani had one of the best individual performances ever by an MLB player. He threw six scoreless innings, allowing only two hits, walking three batters and striking out 10.

Not content with that, he went three for three and batted three homers with multiple RBIs.

Deion Sanders, who is worth $60 million as per Celebrity Net Worth, is no stranger to baseball. He played the sport in the 1990s, even reaching a World Series with the Atlanta Braves, couldn’t help but admire the performance by the Japanese player and said so in his latest press conference:

“He’s doing something that’s unfathomable,” Sanders said.

Now the Dodgers are headed to their second straight World Series appearance, having won the 2024 title by beating the New York Yankees. This time around, they will face the Toronto Blue Jays, who took the Seattle Mariners to seven games in the ALCS Championship Series.

Dave Roberts on Shohei Ohtani’s Performance Against the Brewers

Dave Roberts, the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, had no qualms about saying it. For him, Ohtani’s performance against Milwaukee was simply the best by an MLB player. Further, he called the pitcher the best athlete in the world:

“That was probably the greatest postseason performance of all time,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “There’s been a lot of postseason games. And there’s a reason why he’s the greatest player on the planet.”

Coming into the first game of the World Series, the Dodgers are the clear favorites to win, with the money line being -150 in their favor.
