Dalton Kincaid Injury Update: What Fantasy Owners Need to Know About Bills TE Ahead of Week 8

The Buffalo Bills have been without Dalton Kincaid for their last two games, as the tight end has been down with an oblique injury. The absence of their top receiver coincided with their second straight defeat, this time around to the Atlanta Falcons.

Things are looking a little better for Week 8, as it seems that Kincaid will be available to return. Kincaid had been able to play in a limited fashion against New England in Week 5, but his oblique problems worsened in the lead-up to Week 6’s game against the Falcons.

Kincaid is the Bills’ leading receiver, with 287 receiving yards and three touchdown receptions in 20 catches. Through five games, he has been targeted 24 times and has averaged 14.4 yards per catch.

    What Happened To Dalton Kincaid?

Dalton Kincaid was limited in practice in the lead-up to Week 5’s game against the New England Patriots. Despite the game being a heartbreaking 23-20 loss for the Bills, it was a standout performance for Kincaid, who recorded 108 receiving yards in six catches. The oblique issue resurfaced the following week, and he was unable to participate in the Week 6 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Will Dalton Kincaid Play In Week 8?

Coach Sean McDermott has labeled Dalton Kincaid as a “day-to-day” issue regarding his injury. However, reports from the Bills camp is that he’s progressing fast and that he will likely be available to play on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

    Dalton Kincaid’s Fantasy Outlook

Fantasy players should hold off on deciding as to whether to play Kincaid or not this weekend. There isn’t enough information to confidently say he’s certain to play this weekend, but there’s enough information to hold off from making a trade just yet. Besides, his numbers so far this season are incredible and trading him could be a true loss for any fantasy player. If he plays, there could be a significant reward.
