Jayden Daniels’ ACL Injury vs Cowboys Draws Heartfelt Message From $1,500,000,000 Worth Owner

The Washington Commanders have had a rough weekend as they did not just lose 44-22 to the Dallas Cowboys, but they might possibly lose quarterback Jayden Daniels for a few games. The second-year quarterback went down early in the third quarter after being sacked by sacked by rookie Cowboys linebacker Shemar Jones.

Daniels reportedly turned his right leg awkwardly upon getting sacked, leading to a hamstring injury, which may lead to him missing several games. As he recovers from hurting his hamstring, he got a message of support from one of the Commanders’ co-owners, NBA legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson, whose net worth is $1.5 billion, according to Forbes.

“Praying that Jayden Daniels’ hamstring injury won’t keep him out for a prolonged period of time. My Commanders lost 44-22 to the Cowboys.” the LA Lakers great tweeted.

Johnson has a small ownership stake on the Washington Commanders, as well as several other professional sports teams in the US. These include the LA Dodgers in the MLB, the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA and the LAFC in the MLS. Forbes noted that his 60% ownership stake in life insurance company Equitrust is where a majority of his fortune came from, and not from his days playing in the NBA.

As for Jayden Daniels, he is set for an MRI scan of his injured hamstring on Monday. Until then, the team will just have to wait for the results to determine whether or not the quarterback will be available for the next few games.

Insider Gives Positive Update on Jayden Daniels Injury

Meanwhile, during Monday’s episode of “Good Morning Football,” NFL insider Ian Rapaport provided an update for the injured Jayden Daniels, and it seems to be a positive one for the team. He noted that while the MRI results are still not in, the team believes that the hamstring injury is not at all serious.

“He’ll have an MRI today and some more tests,” Rapaport said. “It didn’t seem like a major, major injury and the fact that the Washington Commanders have an extra day this coming week… does give him a little more breathing room.”

With the team reportedly believing that the injury was not that serious, it is possible that the MRI was just a precautionary measure to make sure that the quarterback is not really that hurt. However, until the results are out, nothing is official yet.
