Calvin Ridley Injury Update: What Fantasy Owners Need to Know About Titans WR Ahead of Week 7

Wide receiver Calvin Ridley landed a big contract with the Tennessee Titans in 2024, leaving the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency.

Ridley instantly became the No. 1 wide receiver in Tennessee upon his signing, and he played like one last season. Ridley had 64 receptions for 1,017 yards and four receiving touchdowns. He averaged a career-high 15.8 yards per catch.

This season, with Cam Ward as his quarterback, Ridley leads the team in receiving yards, with 290 on 16 receptions.

    What Happened to Calvin Ridley?

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley suffered a hamstring injury against the Las Vegas Raiders last week. The injury limited him to just six snaps in the game. As a result, Ridley was held out of practice this past week.

Before exiting the game, Ridley caught one pass for 18 yards.

When Will Calvin Ridley Be Back?

Calvin Ridley will not be active for this Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots. The team ruled him out on Friday afternoon. It isn’t a good sign that Ridley was unable to practice all week. This indicates that he could miss an extended period of time.

    Calvin Ridley Fantasy Outlook

Calvin Ridley currently has 16 catches for 290 yards and zero touchdowns. He could not find the end zone in the Titans’ first six games and leads the team in targets and receiving yards, showing that he is one of Cam Ward‘s top options.

While Ridley has posted back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons, that streak could be in jeopardy this time. He won’t likely miss too much time with his injury, but even missing a single game on top of having subpar quarterback play from Ward would spoil the chances of Ridley having a big year in fantasy football.

As of now, fantasypros.com projects Ridley to finish as the 36th-55th best receiver in fantasy football. This suggests that he’s viewed as a WR2/WR3 or flex option, and isn’t primed for a big season.
