The New Orleans Saints received a blunt message this week as running back Alvin Kamara reiterated that he isn’t going anywhere, with a hilarious response.
As per Nick Underhill of the New Orleans Football, Kamara, when asked about the possibility of being traded during the season, left no room for interpretation. If a deal happens, he implied he’ll simply walk away from football entirely, drinking “Pina Coladas”.
“Alvin Kamara said today that if they trade him he’s going to just go drink “pina coladas” somewhere,” Underhill reported.

This makes a lot of sense considering Kamara is already 30, signed just a two-year contract extension last October that keeps him under contract through 2026.

For managers around the NFL who’ve been monitoring Kamara’s availability, this is essentially a door slamming shut, with rumors of the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers having both been mentioned in mock trade scenarios throughout the season. Seems like all of these rumors will continue being rumors unless there is a change of heart as far as Kamara’s interest is concerned.
Kamara’s Return Against Chicago Doubtful Amidst Injury Concerns
So far, in 2025, Kamara has played through six games and has a total of 83 rushing attempts for 314 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown and has 22 receptions for 122 receiving yards. While those numbers are not stellar, they are affected by Saints’ miserable season. New Orleans is 1-5, with one of the worse records this season.
Injury report for Patriots-Saints:
Only two on the report that are questionable are RB Alvin Kamara and DT John Ridgeway III. CB Isaac Yiadom is out.

Meanwhile Kamara’s ankle maintenance saw him missing Wednesday’s practice and being limited on Thursday, making him questionable to play on Sunday against Chicago.
