Stephen Jackson Calls Out Stephen A. Smith For ‘Talking Humble’ to Serena Williams’ ‘White Billionaire’ Husband

Stephen A. Smith is known for his bombastic personality and his sometimes crazy takes about football, basketball, and other sports. Many people in the sports world feel that he is disrespectful to athletes in the way he discusses them. However, as one of the biggest pundits in North American sports, he does not need to worry about the backlash.

At the Super Bowl earlier this year, Stephen A. Smith made a comment, saying he would divorce Serena Williams because of her appearance during the Halftime Show with Kendrick Lamar. Her husband, billionaire Alexis Ohanian, appeared on First Take this week and called Smith out for his comments. Smith seemingly backed off immediately when confronted, saying he is not qualified to give marriage advice.

This led to an interesting reaction in the sports world. Former NBA player Stephen Jackson posted a video calling out Smith for how he speaks to a black billionaire in LeBron James, compared to how he spoke to a white billionaire in Alexis Ohanian. This video was posted on the Hollywood Unlocked Instagram account on Monday.

“Hey, bro, you get loud and all in your feelings about Bron. With Bron, when talking to a black billionaire, but when you talking to a white billionaire, you humble,” Stephen Jackson said. “You come back on your show talking real respectful, mild-mannered. Listen, bro, you dogging the black women. Stay out of politics and stick to talking about sports you never played. Alright, just stick to doing that, bro. We not gonna vote for you. No.”

What Did Stephen A. Smith Say About Serena Williams After the Super Bowl?

At the Super Bowl earlier this year, Serena Williams appeared during Kendrick Lamar’s performance of “Not Like Us.’ The camera panned to Williams, who started to crip walk. The song is a diss track against Drake, who is Williams’ ex-boyfriend. The day after, Smith appeared on TV and had some harsh comments about Williams.

“If I’m married and my wife is going to join trolling her ex, go back to his ass,” Smith said. “Cause clearly you don’t belong with me. What you worried about him for, and you’re with me? Bye. Bye.”
