“Looked Personal” “Packer At Heart”: Fans Throw Out Conspiracy Theories as Jonathon Ford’s Dangerous Collision Leaves Noah Sewell Injured

The Chicago Bears’ recent game against the Washington Commanders turned tense after a frightening collision involving linebacker Noah Sewell. What should have been a routine defensive stop quickly escalated into a scene that had both players and fans stunned.

The aftermath sparked a flood of reactions online, with some fans jokingly suggesting that Jonathon Ford, a former Green Bay Packer, hadn’t fully left his old team behind. Fans have since flooded the internet with their reactions to the collision.

“That Ford hit on Sewell looked personal,” a fan wrote.

“Jonathan Ford still a Packer at heart, trying to kill Noah Sewell. Dipsh*t,” a fan wrote.

“Ford just obliterated Sewell,” a fan wrote.

“What is Jonathan Ford doing? I can’t stand these guys that just launch their helmets into gang tackles senselessly. Noah Sewell may be out for a while now,” a fan wrote.

“Scary moment here. Noah Sewell is down after being hit by teammate Jonathan Ford while the two were trying to tackle Jacory Croskey-Merritt,” Sun Times reporter Patrick Finley wrote.

“What was that hit? Noah Sewell already had him. Ford is actually stupid,” a fan wrote.

Some fans are even coming up with conspiracy theories, considering how dangerous the hit was. Fans are stating that it almost seemed like someone paid Ford to crash into Sewell. While the conspiracy theories aren’t to be believed, the reality is that the collision looked scary.

The play unfolded in the second quarter as Sewell joined a group of Bears defenders to bring down Washington running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt. Defensive tackle Jonathon Ford came charging in from the side to assist on the tackle.

In the process, his arm and shoulder struck Sewell squarely in the helmet area.

Noah Sewell Left With a Concussion

The impact left Sewell down on the field, visibly shaken and slow to get up. Trainers rushed in, and although he eventually walked off under his own power, he did not return to the game. The Bears later confirmed that Sewell suffered a concussion and would enter the league’s protocol before being cleared to play again.

Before the injury, he had already registered two tackles and looked active early in the contest. The hit itself was clearly unintentional, but that didn’t stop fans from running wild with conspiracy theories online.

For now, the focus shifts to Sewell’s recovery. The linebacker had been showing steady progress before the setback, and the Bears will be cautious with his return. The team will hope the incident remains just an unlucky moment rather than something that derails a promising start to his career.
