Pat McAfee Drops 2-Word Reaction on Steve Sarkisian’s Texas Roasting Rivals Oklahoma Sooners Post Devastating Defeat

The Red River Rivalry just got a whole lot spicier after Texas dismantled Oklahoma 23-6 in their annual showdown. The Longhorns’ social media team decided to troll the Oklahoma Sooners with a savage post on X.

Texas posted a screenshot showing them reporting Oklahoma’s Instagram account, complete with a brutal punchline. When asked who the account was pretending to be, they wrote: “a good football team.” Pat McAfee’s response to this trolling said everything as he reacted with just two words: “HOLY SHIT.”

The timing of this roast makes it even sweeter for Texas fans. Just a week earlier, the Longhorns were getting hammered from all directions after their embarrassing loss to Florida.

The media was questioning everything about this team, particularly whether Arch Manning was the right guy for the Longhorns as Steve Sarkisian’s team dropped out of the AP Top 25 list entirely.

Sarkisian Praises Team’s Character As Texas Dominates Oklahoma to Secure Historic Win

Sarkisian did not hesitate in his postgame comments, stating the players had heard everything and the criticism directed at them. He praised his players for tuning out all the “outside noise” surrounding them throughout the week.

“I think we saw the true character of the men in that locker room today — their connectivity, their love for one another,” Sarkisian said. “It’s easy to succumb to the outside noise. There was a lot of s— getting talked about our team, about these guys. And I think they responded”, Sarkisian stated.

The numbers do tell the complete story of total domination as Arch Manning was 21-27 passing for 166 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 34 yards. He looked comfortable and confident, which is exactly what Texas was hoping to see with all the recent scrutiny around him. Running back Quintrevion Wisner also looked good, carrying the ball 22 times for 94 yards and contributing five receptions as well.

The real explosion came in the fourth quarter when Ryan Niblett returned a punt 75 yards for a touchdown that really closed the door on any potential comeback for Oklahoma.

Texas limited Oklahoma to just 258 yards of total offensive yardage, and the Longhorns intercepted Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer three times, with Texas totally overpowering the Oklahoma offense.

This is Texas’s first back-to-back victories over Oklahoma since 2008-09, ending a long stretch without back-to-back wins in the series.
