Week 7 of the college football season is here. While that means there are some exciting matchups for fans to watch, it also means the list of injured stars is continuing to grow. Here are some updates on a few key stars heading into Week 7.

2025 College Football Injury Tracker Week 7: Updates On Injured Stars
John Mateer
Arguably, the most significant injury in college football right now is to Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer. He was in the Heisman race before suffering an injury earlier in the year. He missed last week’s game and is expected to miss a month total. He is making a push to return on Saturday, but is still listed as questionable.
CJ Baxter
Texas star running back CJ Baxter is listed as doubtful for the Longhorns’ game against Oklahoma on Saturday.
Malik Muhammad
The Longhorns are expected to get CB Malik Muhammad back against Oklahoma after he missed last week’s loss against Florida.
Jeremiah Beaman
Alabama will continue to be without star DL Jeremiah Bearman against Missouri this week.
Cayden Green
The Missouri Tigers are hopeful that left tackle Cayden Green will return this week against Alabama. However, he is still listed as questionable on the injury report.
Jacob Rodriguez
Texas Tech linebacker Jacob Rodriguez is listed as questionable for this week’s matchup against Kansas.
Howard Sampson
Texas Tech OT Howard Sampson is also listed as questionable for this week’s game against the Jayhawks.
DeShawn Hanika
The Kansas Jayhawks announced this week that star tight end DeShawn Hanika will be out for the rest of the season.
Conner Weigman
Houston quarterback Conner Weigman could return this week. He has been steadily progressing since going through concussion protocol and could be cleared to play. He entered protocol earlier this week after taking a hard hit in last weekend’s loss to Texas Tech. Insider Pete Nakos reported on Wednesday that he is on track to play against Oklahoma State.
